  1. Robbie, I agree with you 100%. Those Left Field/Hickorees Miner's are the Truth! I almost purchased them online, but I had to go to Hickoree's Floor 2 to try them on. Plus, the Staff there is very helpful, plus cool. Feel some fabrics, talk cameras, etc..

  2. i meant b_F because in the other sami thread, he has all kinds of inside info and people are asking him for more . . .

Sorry, I quoted the wrong Quote from you. I was replying to this Quote:

"i for myself wouldn't be surprised if a size 31 really measures 31" pre-soak. encountered that often enough with samurai jeans. and i never had a pair of samurai jeans measuring in the waist what big says...big always states them 1" bigger than what i measured myself (and yes, i use their method). maybe they streeeeeeeeeeetch them really out while measuring."

I've also noticed The inseam was longer as well than size specified.

  3. do you work for samurai?

Both pairs of Samurai purchased out of BiG were larger than specified. Next time I will definatly size down to a 34w. There is a lot of stretching, most notably in the knee for me.

  4. ...

    "...look better with AGE".... nevermind.

Exactly. Age and Evolve have 2 different meanings. Obviously, you don't know what you're talking about.. Again, if you wish to contribute to the POST about "SNEAKERS", then please, do so. If you're here just to try and act "Smart", Go That Way...

  5. Last update before my holidays and the next wash. 710 XX, worn sinc december

That's in the rotation right now... Here's hoping mines looks just as good as yours!

  6. sorry, but shoes made of rubber, plastic, nylon, canvass, etc get old & used__ they don't evolve.

... hence, they don't get better with age, imo.

You have you're opinion, but you're "trying" to tell me that a pair of Chucks or Vans don't get/look better with age? -Sorry, but I disagree.

But hey, again that's your opinion. Sneakers and denim have been a staple casual hook-up for a while now. I just want to acknowledge that. You want to contribute, go ahead. You don't, but want to debate why, I'm not here for that.

And who mentioned anything about Evolving??? What does that have to do with this Post?

  7. Hey, the Wingtips, Redwings, Tricker's... -Just Boots and Shoes in general get a lot of love around these parts, but I'm still a Sneakers kind of Guy... Granted, a pair of sneakers don't last too long.. It's not like you can easily replace the soles like a good pair of boots, it's more about the comfort, the ease of rocking them with whatever, just everyday wear, like your favorite denim.

So lets see what you got. Do you chuck them as soon as they start leaning? -Are they so bad that everyone can see what colored socks you're wearing? Do they have Denim stains -Or, do you like them clean?

    Oh, NO SHOES/BOOTS ALLOWED!!

  8. To what?..

    To anything but those!

I'm sorry, but people that will pay the price for Visvims will fall for anything from that brand, no matter How wack they are or how much of a knockoff it is.. I would laugh out loud if I ever seen someone wearing those on the streets of NYC. That's on the lines of paying over $100.00 for a 16oz candle... Really?

  9. The elephant denim is made from ring-spun yarn, it is not open end yarn. The e2 is good quality solid 22oz selvedge denim. Samurai denim is great, the texture is unbeatable... but don't forget... e2's are $165 retail.

Right. I'm not accusing them of using Open-Ended denim, it just looks like it when washed down. And yeah, you cant beat the price. I'm just thinking heavier weight= more irreglar and texture.

And you're right, you can't beat $165.00, that's why I made the purchase.. Twice.

  10. "maybe a combination of both..and of course he won't break them in. i read somewhere around sufu that raw denim is only interesting for these guys as long it is still stiff."

You sir, are CORRECT! We Brothers do like our Denim Raw. It's a sign of being "Crisp" and "Clean". I know cats that as soon as the denim shows some wear, they're no longer rocked...

  11. His stylist probably went to BiG in NYC and got those Samurais there. I'm betting neither he nor his stylist know anything about sizing or soaking raw unsanforized denim.

I can bet He or his Stylist can care less about that, either... How many times is going to actually wear them jeans?? You really think he cares about Sizing and Soaking?? HAHAHAHAHA! -STOP.

Just as many of y'all here are quick to judge on someone wearing a pair of denim Oversized, There are plenty of y'all who look HILARIOUS in jeans that are WAY TOO SMALL for y'all.

On the quest for better fades and stacking... Yeah, OK.

  12. Do you think he washed these multiple times or just wore em through?

I dunno, I think Samurai spoiled me. As much as I love the fades on these E2's, there's really no texture, It reminds me of some open end cheap denim.

I have a pair of E2's that are in rotation right now, but I'm thinking of taking them out...

  13. Wait... I thought Superdenim was about "Denim"? What's with all this Boot Talk?

Why not just start a Boot Topic, instead of posting in a topic about Denim?

Point is, I would like to see RRL Denim (jeans, jackets, etc..) and not some Leather Boots.

  14. RRL Slim Fits.. 1 year with 1 initial soak and another at the year mark... Thinking about giving it a Machine wash at the 1 year, 1 month mark with a monthly wash after that.. I'm kinda making up for a RRL sample I copped at a F&F Sample sale. Those had a Shank that read "DOUBLE RL & Co. NYC" and a inner tag with a handwritten "Mitsui BD 1005". I was impatient with those. I'll post pics of those at another time.
