  1. Not sure if its available to you, but the other day I picked up a really nice white cotton non-see-thru shirt from Tiger of Sweden, french cuff, tall collar (whats the real term?).....its got business shirt sizing but it is quite slim and not boxy.

    Try it, you'll like it!

  2. Fuuma, the nudie slim jim are really nice, quite slim but no good if u have big feet haha

havent tried the kim, but i guess because of the long-ish pockets on the back really slim nudies can look a little funny.....that is only my opinion tho

slim jims also arent too low which is good! nice jean

also depending if you like the wash, i think they arent totally overdone and sit nice - tsubi make a style called lean bean which are also pretty good. i just tend to steer clear of them because every second person is wearing them in Melb.

ps. sorry no insight on the three u asked for hehe

  3. skecr8t, are u in london?

Anyone know what roughly pricing is like in London? Everyone has been telling me going from Melbourne to London is the worst in terms of cost of everything, it is really expensive. Can anyone shed some light?

    Cheers

  4. hi guys,

reading this thread has got me thinking twice now about continuously wearing my nudies without washing. sorry about asking more "denim washing questions" but i guess better now than later.

Ive had my dry nudie bootcut olas for about 2 months now, havent been wearing everyday of late, but do wear as often as possible...would it be wise to wash them now and get the shrinkage out of the way? they are a little long for me....if they shrink a nice inch on the inseam i think they will be perfect length....but yeh, should i wash them now to prevent the fading from shifting up later? if so what would be the best way to go about it (ie least amount of initial fade). I still want to try and keep the indigo - and let them fade with time.

they are a 31x32, does anyone have any insight into how much the inseam shrinks? i guess its abit of a silly question as all jeans will vary....but anyway, any help is much appreciated.

  5. sorry for the newbie question, but how do u see the orange label as being an evisu biter? what have i missed? I could understand if you see red label, with the vintage cut and backpocket design, but then couldnt this be said for most vintage-repro styled jeans?

    fill me in?

  6. Like ringring said, their worth depends on your own taste. Personally I think Michiko Koshino is ahead of her time in terms of design. I own a few pairs of the orange label and I think they are fantastic jeans. Haven't seen any red label around here but i def wouldnt mind a pair of red label dry selvage!

Evisu biter? I don't think so!

  7. if they are predistressed usually they would have been pre-washed also, this would of taken care of most of the shrinkage already. Having said that, they will more than likely tighten up slightly, BUT a couple of wears (even around the house) will get em back to size.

What i find works well to naturally strech your jeans is if you sleep in them, not that I generally sleep in my jeans but you could try getting drunk and passing out in them lol.... i guess its a combo of the sweat, heat and movement that loosens the cotton.

One cold wash with a bit of detergent in cold water wont hurt, will probably make them smell better than a dry-clean too! good luck!

one whole year and no wash - do they stand up on their own? haha

  8. Haha, this is something that i've been thinking about for a while. I think its true that they fell off a few years back when they decided to start getting rid of their old cuts/washes and replacing them with completely ridiculous and unflattering cuts and styles! What did happen to the basics? Kratt, Tiiner, X-rotuck? and in decent washes that you don't need 5000 pairs of shoes to match with? (Not that having so many shoes would be a bad thing hehe)

Having said that, some of their stuff is still 0k, BUT the quality, in my opinion, is definately not what it used to be! Ever since they started shifting manufacture out of Italy, especially on some denim lines, they've fallen off their game - AND prices have escalated...whats the deal? In australia, prices have jumped over the past year or so from maximum AUD$440 to a new height (i just noticed the other day) AUD$560? And whats the bet manufacturing is getting cheaper for them!?!?!

What they need is a shift back in time, where Kratt is the basic 5-pocket and the X-rotuck 796 is the weirdest style available. Maybe that would knock off most of the dick riders?

I can't really talk though....for reasons unknown to me I own a pair of Dardy 81L's, possibly the worst cut of jeans ever, but they are soft enough to wear around the house hehe

  9. ohhhh man, check out those jeans!! Like lazy asked...does ANYONE know how to get a hold of any of those without going to Japan? ie. internet, im in melbourne and there is -25% chance of getting anything close to that here hehe
