  1. i always check out niketalk cus the members are so organized and they get on top of everything. Its pathetic but i kinda have to do it to get any kicks I want. It's also interesting to take a look back and figure out when people started making a lifestyke out of lifestyle clothing. If yer on the computer all day figuring out when and where shit is coming out it doest leave much time for anything else. NT'ers are insane and are usually well connected. There's no way to beat em but not buy the products and I guess at this point im not willing to do that.

  2. FOR RAW

well, stussy's designs are not that innovative anymore, but basically they are viewed as the father of modern street/skatewear, the company that made all these brands like bape, stussy, etc possible. That's why the brand gets respect by all the designers. They also have a proven track record and a corporate budget so they an get collabos with most anyone they'd like. My favorite was the stussyXlowealpine bag that came out a few years back.it is aperfect example of the limited edition design process at stussy. Most of their backpacks are just cheap crap with lame designs and cost around 60 bucks. But this was a collaboration with lowe alpine the mountain gear company. It was called "stussy on the lowe" i own two of them in both colors and i can honestly say it is the best bag to come out of streetwear ever. It is so much better qaulity than supreme or bape or headporter you name it. Ive had it since 2000 or so when it came out and you just cant get anything better. They also have Custommade, which is thier more limited line of tees. of course their nike collaborations are amazing. So yes. some of their stuff is cheap crap u could buy anywhere but sometimes u get priceless stuff. hope that helps.

  3. supreme didn't necessarily jack the logo from her. the whole brand is based on pop culture references to things in and around the new york state of mind and skating. Barbara kruger grew up in new york, went to parsons and ny insititue of design as well as syracuse. she is kind of a new york institution by herself. She kind of defined the media of the 80's and 90's and supreme is kind of an extension of that. there is a size xl and M of the above tee on ebay ryte now.

  4. I believe james jebbia is part owner of stussy and does own supreme and union. He seems to cover all bases in regards to the spectrum of streetwear. Stussy is more mainstream but u gotta watchout for their collaborations, which are always very good qaulity and nice (stussyXlowealpine backpack my personal fave!), Union is more of a hipster joint that is leaning away from some of the cool japanese brands like nbhd and wtaps as well as GDEH and concentrating on nice kinda dressier clothes like rogan jeans and pringle stuff....I dont really like it cus the prices are insane and my style is more skate. However, the staff there is real laid back and are very nice. And of course supreme has an edgier reputation with its' connection to new york skate crews and stuff...

  5. The dudes at supreme are almost always helpful and courteous if you start shopping there on a regular basis. All the resellers and asians that go in there are annoying as shit and create a frenzy for the clothes and kicks that might just go to regular customers if such a commotion wasn't created. I dont like being part of the hype there but the designs are great and it's a new york institution so I try and support it. As far as the staff goes, I beleive most of them are pro skaters that are sponsored by supreme/or stussy. I like it when the staff are dickheads to the customers because maybe they wont come back again, and then I'll be able to get the pieces I want without having to wait on line or stop by a million times a week. It'd be nice if I could've picked up the supreme sb's without having to wait on line for 2 days with a crowd of douchebags.
