  2. GOod luck. It's worth pointing out, for reference, that when people here say these are slimmer than than the 1930s jeans, this only applies if you size down - annoyingly, they seem to be made substantially oversize. Too late now for you, I know, sorry. With most LVC, always best to go by measured size, and in general size up by one inch.

Paul, I appreciate your help and repped you. Unfortuately, its just tough to know whats right for myself without actually trying the jeans on.

  3. I received my 1915 Cone model but I found the fit just too big. I have been wearing 45's, 54s, and 67s. Was difficult wearing such a baggy jean, since I'm only about 5'9" and it just makes me feel shorter. I sent them back for the 1878's. They looked unique and a slimmer fit, we'll see how they are when they get here.

  4. Here are some fit pics I posted of the 1915s a while back. I went tts measured. IIRC, the 32 waist measured a little over 35 BiG style, but I would definitely recommend asking for measurements.

Those look excellent. The fit looks much slimmer on the 1915s than other photos Ive seen. I may consider that model...

  5. The 1901's are pretty similar all in all, so are the '15's and '17's. You can go tts on measured size btw. They won't be all too baggy, the real baggy ones are the late '20's and 30's. Mind you, the fit will be very different from the slim cuts you seem to be used to.

Yeah...it looks like a looser fit...

Would you say those photos are pretty accurate on the fit? Also, does the selvage have a redline? Ive seen some photos with and some without redline....

  6. By the looks of things, you're into a slim cut (or in the case of the 54's, a tapered one)

If you're looking at the early models, i.e pre 1920, with no belt-loops, the 1890 is the slimmest, with the 1915/17 models a close second.

Have a look at Paul T's size/fit guide (or you could pm him).

    Hope this helps?

    .

Thanks Heech. I'm still looking at other models. The 1890's are nice but I wish it had 2 back pockets...

  7. I'm looking for a new pair of LVC denim. Considering getting something different (earlier model) like 1901. Are these pants pretty huge? Ive seen different photos and its hard to tell if its just a relaxed fit or straight up baggy fit.

    Heres my current LVC's

    1967 505

    1954 501Z

Ive also had about 3 pairs of 1947's

  8. if i've ever learned anything from joining this forum then it would be this: the things you truly want are always the more expensive alternative

very true. I would also order the black with white stitching, just looks better to have some contrast on that shoe.

  10. I just got back from HK a few days ago. I was only there for 2 days as I spent most of my time in China (Nanjing, Shanghai, and Shantou), but my 2 days were spent in Tsim Sha Tsui. A bit disappointed to see alot of shops on granville road were no longer there. I didnt hit the harbor city mall or any big spots, but managed to pickup a few things from uniqlo. Mong-Kok on saturday afternoon was fun, but the heat was almost unbearable. Still finding good sneakers there, however the price on some items was more expensive than USA.
