it may too late to say this, since thread has taken a 180 turn. But the bike culture does serve as a visual to my point on originality. Ultimately, words like cool and fashionable, mean honestly expressing yourself. It is easy for me to put on something I saw on TV or in a mag, and be cocky, But expressing yourself honestly, not lying to others or yourself, that my friends is very hard to do on a consistent basis.

I always felt women looked better in lee's, like the cut of their jeans was more tailored to them. I had a pair years ago. I remember wearing them once or twice / week. Don't laugh but I had a pair of quess jeans I wore them hard. I felt they, not my lee's were more comfortable. Then guess they fell off in '96 and started charging over $100 for a pair for jeans that would be too tight for Jerry Seinfield.

i have a white leather eames chair i use at my computer desk. it's ok. but i agree with CL a wood chair is only good for about 1 1/2 - 2hrs. Herman Miller is good but also look at Zwicker’s oloz-dining chairs.

I've been to taipei 3 times, each visit was about 3-4 weeks. I agree with snow, at first glance it seems alot like any generic asian city. But under the surface you have a city that's not that different from tokyo in the 1960's. Architectural bleek, but with the additions of taipei 101 and a new guggenhiem taipei has the potential to be more it's just a question of do they want it. I'm going again in April with a week lay over in tokyo or shanghai.
