Happy jeans: TCBxSufu S40s WW2 contest thread

Today will be my first day of being able to wear these all day. I'm jealous of you folks who can wear jeans to work every day. Untitled by least weasel, on Flickr Untitled by least weasel, on Flickr

Didn't have a number in mine, so I added this, copying the TCB envelope thank you cat. Untitled by least weasel, on Flickr

Rec'd my size 32 OW this morning. Waist measured out at similar to @Dan_F pair. Wetted down the waistband, gave it some hard pulls across the perimeter, and shoved in a hanger. Stretched pretty easily well over an inch. Thigh is slimmer than I'm used to and likely slimmer than ideal, but I think these will work out ok. What are your jeans doing today?

Lots of chainsawing this morning of volunteer trees and honeysuckle which is fucking scourge. A bit hard to see, but there's about 20 linear feet cut up and waiting to be burned. Took about four hours to burn it all. Sporting my Freewheelers 47 and a $2 Hanes t shirt. IMG_1450 by least weasel, on Flickr

Shoes that look better with age...

The Wesco's I went with don't look much like the Yeager boots, nor was a trying to copy them. The Wesco's design was largely poached from S&S x Wesco Knuckle Breaker; they're on the Morrison/Western last. I was happy to be able to get them made up with naildown construction through Baker's; cleaner and sleeker than stitchdown. wesco by least weasel, on Flickr

They're fantastic. But a tough pill to swallow now that they're pushing $2000 US. These were about $1200 when I picked them up from Pancho and Lefty. I would love to have a pair of Clinch lace up or yeager boots in horsebutt, but I couldn't justify the price so I picked up some Wescos in Horween horsehide with naildown construction. I'm confident they're not nearly as nice as the Clinch would be, but I don't have any regrets.

Clinch 11" engineers in horsebutt on the CN last. A little over three years old. And as new. IMG_1429 by least weasel, on Flickr IMG_1431 by least weasel, on Flickr IMG_8956 by least weasel, on Flickr

    Warehouse

1001XX before and after a wash; both in full sun. Blew out the crotch scooting around on my ass while pulling up carpet and staples. I was able to sew that up well enough. Then the knee wore through when working in the yard. Will need to attend to that before it grows too much.
