  1. I have some warehouse 800 34 and they are tighter than my full count 1101 sz33. I like the warehouse fabric and want to wear it again - do warehouse have some model that’s more roomy than the 800 or maybe I should try 800 in 36.

From what I have read, cotton fibers are more elastic than sugar cane cellulose (bagasse). Cotton has better stretch.

I think a 2” waist stretch is pretty great for any denim but one reason you may have gotten good stretch with an 80/20 Okinawa is that was supposed to be a loose weave. (They are the 16.25-oz?)

If you need something more roomy then why not get a 36W instead of 34W?

Yeah, 16.25oz. Given how well these breath, they might be loose weave, but I don’t know.

And 36, maybe because they’ll stretch to be too wide. At 36 I’ll be looking at other fits, I’m sure 1947 will be super baggy.

  3. What’s the usual waist stretch on the standard sugar canes from self edge? I have the 80/20 okinawa from self edge and it stretched from 34” to 36”. I think I’m needing something even more roomy, like the 1947 which I remember trying at the time. It’s a 100% cotton jean though so I wonder if it can stretch that much.

  4. I’m debating getting 1001xx in non wash. I’ve tried the one wash version in 34 and it fits well. Should I be looking at 34 in non wash too?

Do you know if these washes are done cold, warm or hot?

I am looking to get a new belt. My current favorite (and most comfortable) is the HTC Self Edge Peanut sting ray belt. It's not thick at all, and is my best belt by far.

Something like a Corter or Strike Gold is much too thick and uncomfortable.

Anyone have any recommendations for something that is comfortable for when I want to wear something a bit more plain? I was looking at the Sugar Cane ones, but they seem very thick as well.

Hollows leather make fantastic belts. Not thick and really high quality leather.

  6. Can anyone tell me what’s the difference between the 800 and the 1001xx fit wise? I have the 800 but they’re a bit tight in the thighs (After I got into squatting).

How much have these stretched? I just received the exact same cut in the same size and the waist is SO tight. Kinda bummed because if I size up, the legs will be too wide for my taste.

About 1-1.5". They went from annoyingly tight to comfortable. I sprayed them with water and pulled a bit, but I suggest you don't do that and let nature take care of itself so to speak :). I believe I'd have had the same effect without doing this.

You might be able to stretch 2", but I'd say when I tried them at home they were fitting me alright and felt tight on the waist just when I took them out and did stuff in them. Kind of weird and surprised me, but that might be because I'm wearing a thick wallet and a phone.

But the denim is just so good and breathable. The cut is indeed a bit loose, but I got used to it and like it, makes for a very comfortable jean.

  8. Warehouse 800 one wash size 32. 1000XX denim. Anyone has experience with how much do these stretch? I'm hoping they'd stretch to maybe 34" (started at 32), because they feel tight when I sit down and it's bothering me. So far I've worn them for 4 days.

Other than that love the irregularity of the denim. Not a big fan of the wide leg opening, but it's not too bad. These definitely feel spacious (except for waist), which is very nice.
