@Alexi12345 I can throw some up tomorrow. I've been wearing the Arris daily. Though I was rather ambivalent about it at first, I love this jacket now. The large pocket is so useful and the laminated pocket inside makes storing and accessing keys so easy. If you live in any part of Canada outside of Ontario you will probably struggle to use it as a winter shell. The jacket is rather slim and layering is limited. I can fit a hoodie or squeeze a Mionn IS Comp underneath. The real challenge are the slim sleeves.

Can I ask for what reason the jacket was warranted for? IMO you're getting a pretty sweet upgrade from your pervious jacket and I wouldn't take advantage of Arc's generosity. I'm guilty of it too, but I'm afraid with everyone trying to swing a deal from Arc that one day they're going to get stricter with their "warranty" program. It doesn't make sense to me trying to negotiate the price difference between regions. That's like trying to buy a BMW in China for the German MSRP. I get that the Arris isn't in stock and you'd like a replacement right away but trying to haggle on something that you're already getting a deal on isn't the right approach. I recall the Factory store having some Align jackets not too long ago. Try asking if they'd make an exception and go through the effort of getting you one from there. Otherwise ask to see if they have any "factory seconds" Arris jackets. I was in a similar position as yourself when I warrantied my Galvanic and gladly took a second. There is absolutely no difference in quality.

True, my jacket was warranted because of the performance of the fabric of the jacket ( the gore-tex and the face fabric pre-delamination). And yes, I know it's a great uprade :). I'm really happy that they took it under warranty and their service is really great. And damn, I need to wear something under it for winter like my down jacket.

So you gave up on trying to finesse an achrom from the warranty department?

They told me I have to pay the difference. The thing is I am in Canada. And I checked in the US and the difference beetween both (Arris :850usd and acrom 1000$usd) is 150$USD but in canada the difference is 375$CAN (925$CAN for the arris and 1300$CAN for the acrom). So I am asking if I could maybe get it for 150$USD since if I was in US I would have it for 150USD$ more. And the difference on the price make no sense since 150$USD is more like 190$CAN. It's complicated because I want the Arris but they don't have it in stock in medium black :( so I have to try getting annother one (the acrom) but I don't want to pay that much.

  3. Any fit pics of the arris ? size reference and size of the jacket. Im looking to use it for winter shell with my down jacket under, looking to see how it fit before and if you guys also use it in the winter with a coat under ?

I'd be surprised if they're willing to negotiate on the price being anything but the retail difference. Since it's the black you're after, I'm sure they'll have it restocked at some point. I had this happen with my Nemis, they didn't have black so I just waited until they had it in stock. Not sure how much you're willing to wait though.

Yeah it said two month they will have it in stock. The problem is I need it now since it's starting freezing here in Canada and I don't have another jacket :(

Veilance is really popular now, I don't remeber from older season if any jacket was out of stock.

  5. I just receive an email from arcteryx veilance warranty. They said I could take the arris jacket wich is 925$CAN . But there is no stock in size medium black. I would like to get the acrom but it's pricier than the arris. Anybody have some kind of experience with warranty return ? I don't want to pay the difference beetwen the arris and the Acrom(1300$CAN). I would like to deal with veilance service to have it for a certain price, like 100$ or maybe 150 more or something ? Can they do this, or if I want it I really have to pay the full difference beetween the arris and the acrom if I want it? Because the arris in my size and colour is not in stock.

    Thanks in advance

I've had good experiences with my warranties, and if you're getting wet in your shell you kinda don't have anything to lose to send it in. I've sent in an older Nemis to fix the wavy collar, a Node Down that had some durability issues on the hood, and my mis-aligned magnet on the Nomin laptop compartment. I've gotten replacements, not repairs, though, and these styles haven't been discontinued. Since the Align is discontinued, if they can't fix it, they'll probably give you a credit to choose a similar piece, then you can pick a new size if you need it.

I'd trust the Arc warranty team, cuz they know the construction of the garment and might know the cause of the defect better. The only issue is it takes a long while, but understandable given how many people send product in for warranty between seasons

Thanks! I just send the jacket to their warranty store in Vancouver. I hope they will do something. I'll let y'all know.

Have you ever washed the jacket before and how did you apply DWR, did you use a dryer to reactivate/activate the DWR coating? What jacket do you have, if it's goretex you're experiencing a significant amount of wetting out which can be attributed to Gore Delamination or heavily used and unwashed goretex, if it's not a goretex jacket then based on your comment regarding the face fabric absorbing water that your jacket has a nylon face fabric which is a hydrophillic material. Regarding the "proudly grantees the quality, performance, and fit of all our products" that statement is more or less about how each of their product remains a certain tolerance range of each sizing hence their sizing across a whole batch of the same model has a consistent sizing; a medium will always fit like a medium and never like a small or large. However this doesn't mean the fit of the jacket is guaranteed to work on you, fit is subjective as we all have different body types, it's still up to you to get the right size and understand if the fit works on you or not.

I have the aling jacket so it's gore-tex. And the jacket is not heavely used and washed or unwashed ( the jacket looks in perfect condition). And yes I use dryer DWR for the coating.

I saw some delamination at one or two place on the jacket but it's like 0,5cm each place so I don't know if Arc'teryx veilance would see it and say yeah that's delamination. But yeah I am all wet when it comes to be outside after 10 minutes in the rain :(

  8. Anybody who have review on their warranty? I have a shell jacket that when I wear it in the rain i am all wet in the inside (I do bike and running like 3-8km). I put DWR because the face fabric absorb all the water from the outside and I think this is the reason I am all wet in the inside after 10 minutes in the rain. But the problem is that the DWR even after 10 minutes doesn't really work at 100% and I am still wet and the dwr work for about 2-3 days and only like 10 minutes in rain. ?:«proudly guarantees the quality, performance and fit of all our products. Also I saw on their website that veilance warranty so this should fit in their performance mission, rigth? Also I found that the jacket is a litle too big for me now, I don't know if the material strech or something, but it is too big. They said that they guarantees the fit, can they tailor the jacket too a size smaller or do something. Are they going to do anything with the warranty ?
