  1. Some comparison photos with Pherrow's double prong belt. Pherrow's belt is thicker and wider, and it weights much heavier.

The double prong design helps to stabilize the buckle from moving, especially after years of wearing, the leather becomes soft and stretched, the double prong will do a great job.

But in my opinion, the smaller buckle size of UES is definitely much comfortable to wear, if you sit for long time in office or driving.

Also, the 7 eyelets design of the UES is too much for me, I only use the 5 eyelets in the center for all the time.

  2. My 8-9 years old UES belt, single prong style. The leather is not thick, not as thick as Samurai or Pherrow's, but have similar thickness to Sugarcane belt in my opinion.

Part of the stitches were gone, and the leather is a dried up and cracked... may be I should have better maintenance by applying some horse oil (e.g. Mustang Paste)? Anyway, I think it is a little too late to save it, lol

  3. Recently, I found that this western shirt looks nice to me, especially the pocket shape. Most of my western shirt is Levi's style (e.g. sawtooth and arcuate-shape pocket cover), and i think it's time for me to try something new ;)

  4. good news that WH repro the 551zxx!

I hope it uses the 14.5 oz fabric! But from the pic, it looks like 13.5 to me.

and 直営店限定... which means it is limited in WH's official store only

  5. I got my TCB 60's! Love the low rise and excellent details of 60's Levi's.

With red tab, beautiful paper patch, nice shape of the back pockets.1.thumb.jpg.40aa453676062753ec44f0a750485eb2.jpg

The 13oz fabric is very firm, after 2 soaks and 2 hot machine washes

Keep the red tab unfold, to protect it from damaging.

The lowrise cutting is comfortable, and the slim cut is easy to match any clothes. :)

  6. The tag of the 2 old XX-type are removed, I'm not sure. And the brand new XX-type is shins.

The Lee model is from my friend, and he said it's an "European edition"

  7. Denime Lee 101B and 1951 model

The 101B is cozy to wear at summer, because of its wide cut and light weight left-hand denim.
However, the overall quality is below standard, as the dye of indigo is quite brief, not having a dark blue color after the first soak.
It is foreseeable that after long time wearing, the 101B will not have a high contrast fading of dark and light blue color.

For the 1951 model, I didn't wear much, just for collection. I am not sure if it is a right pair to purchase, because the fading is questionable... may be it is much safer to buy the XX-type instead of 1951 type? :P

Welcome Jeff, that's an excellent introduction and some great pairs there.

    hi there :)

I really like the 1101, and I guess I will start wearing it soon!

  9. 1101 (Current model in 2017)

non wash, paper patch, no hidden riven of the back pockets.IMG_0713.thumb.JPG.e529aae16abdb3ce330e5af169b73ae1.JPGIMG_0714.thumb.JPG.8eeb076e36e137c45e058d65e9921bf2.JPGIMG_0717.thumb.JPG.01b8d253935af16038ccfcf56d17d1b2.JPG

this 1101 is an excellent replica jeans of 60's Levi's, as the watch pocket is sew with 90degree rotation, which can create a wrinkle on the watch pocket after shrinkage, and it is a feature I love for the 60's 501 (pic borrowed)59b942784804a_watchpocket.jpg.a092b7501fe4c1aef1af4e01524079ba.jpg
Another interesting feature of 1101 is that it has very big backpocket, you can see the photos comparing it with TFH 3001 W34 (while 1101 is W32 only), and the 1001xx-1000 as well

  10. 1001xx-1000

one wash, short horn buffalo paper patch (With space between the words "Ware" and "House"), red tab with (R) and GENUS on both sides, 50's cut,
The most interesting part is that the belt loop is using another fabric
