  1. In France, I see at least once a week a selvedge pair. Usually it is APC or BonneGueule (a french blog about men clothes), I had one of their denim it was a nice Kurabo mills but it was too skinny for me, Now I have a flat head 3002 since April, I m starting to see fades YAY!

  2. I tried to get it off with a towel, the final result was a mark lighter than the dark blue of the denim. I guess when denim will fade it won't be a problem, I don't want to wash them right now for 2 reasons, 1st it's my first pair of raw denim and I would prefer contrast fades and 2nd if I wash them the tooth paste paste mark may finish worse than it is now.

  3. Hi,

the waist already stretched to 33", the measurements pre soak are taken from Rivet & Hide

                                            pre soak                            post soak

    knee                                    8.6                                     7.9

    leg opening                          -                                       7.5

    f.rise                                   11.1                                    9.9

    b.rise                                  14.5                                   13.7

    thigh                                   12.75                                 12.1

I can't tell the leg opening pre soak because the jeans are tapered and I hemmed them from 38" to 34", if it can help they were 7.5" before hemming.

  4. It's my first pair of unsanforized denim and at this moment I really like the fit (I sized up the 3002), the denim post soak is rough and cardboard. It's the best quality I ever had, but to be honest all I had were a pair of Edwin's made in europe and a pair of NaF.

If they don't stretch back a lot, it ll be a 100% enjoyable journey.

thanks for all fellas, I like this community. Cheers

  5. okay then, I don't think I need a washing machine here are the measurements if anyone need them to choose size

pre soak  1st soak   2nd soak

    waist           34"          33"           31.9"

    inseam       34"           32.3"        31.5"

  6. laundry mat + hang dry at home?

and from the laundry mat to home ? put them on a plastic bag ?  :P

let's see how much they shrink after the 2nd soak, if washing machine needed I ll visit my parents next weekend  :D

  7. I am not really against washing machine, I don't have one and since I don't use dryer it won't be a piece of cake to comeback from laudromat with a wet denim  :D

I gave them a 2nd soak, I ll post measures after for you experienced guys who can tell if the shrinkage is almost done.

    thanks guys.

  8. I heard they stretch back only in the waist and only if they need to I am actually size 33 waist so if they still shrink 1" and strech back they ll be perfect. I am not very happy with the idea of the laudromat because there is always a little bit of detergent left in the washing machine..

  9. hopefully yes I expected 2" in the waist and 2.5" inseam so that after they stretch out a bit they will be peeerfect without any shrinkage left, so hot soak or should I pay a visit to the laundromat ?

  10. the problem is that I don't have a washing machine, I probably shoud ve bought before a 300eu pair of jeans  :P but here we are a pair of flat head and no washing machine to shrink them..

  11. Hi fellas,

I just bought a pair of flat head ( 3002, my first unsaforized jeans ever ). I am wondering how to get most of shrinkage out without a washing machine, I already did one soak in warm water (without agitation because I don't really get what agitation is), I think 60% is done.

can anyone help, I don't have any experience with unsanforized denim.

    Thanks
