The shirtmaking and trousers books by David Coffin are both good.  Practical guide to patternmaking for fashion designers:menswear by Lori Knowles is also helpful.

I think based on the (lack of) length and baggy profile that chopping these was the right decision. They'll be perfect as shorts.

The only t-shirt i've found that has a neck hole as tight as FH's is Strike Gold.  

Lady White's neck holes are tight by normal t-shirt standards, but nothing like FH/SG.  I have a few and have washed them many times and they've stayed the same shape when cold washed and line dried.

What's the weight like on those lady white pocket tees?

Nope, no real shrinkage that I noticed.

 

I wished they had a bit; the overlocked inner seam on the cuffs is starting to fray quite easily, will take them in for a hem.

That stinks about the seam.  Thanks for the info though.

Great pics.  I'm looking at those chinos on denimio.  Did they shrink much after a wash?
