  1. Really ? i had no stretch in the thighs on my 18oz 666s.

I sized down from a 30" to 29" as i heard that they gave.

It is a minute amount, not much give at all, but they do get more comfortable. At first it was flat out miserable but now they're not. I'm not gonna enter a high kick competition in em' but they do get a little more comfy each time I wear them.

Perhaps it's just the threads/weave loosening up?

Hindsight, TTS would definitely be more comfortable but I don't know if they would look as good fit wise?

Personally, I'm using it as an excuse to lose a little more weight.

  2. Never

I never ever saw this jacket but I would love to see a raw one of this

    I would too!

Perhaps they went with this lighter/brighter blue washed denim cause it looks better with the khaki-ish collar?

Don't know much about the denim they used, which is why I asked.

The storm rider jacket(with hand pockets) is my 2nd favorite denim jacket model after the type 3(with hand pockets).

Ive been searching for years for a nice one(with pockets) in my size to no avail.

Seeing this one put a huge smile on my face.

Imo Samurai got so many things right with this one.

They put hand pockets on it(can you tell I like hand pockets :D ), The stitching, that Samurai tag on the chest which is hands down my all time favorite samurai logo/font, and for the lining, while they deviated from the blue & yellow stripes of the original storm rider, the stuck with the same color palette. And they nailed the slightly darker corduroy collar(I've seen some storm riders where the color looks almost yellow).

It's a strong 'buy' contender for me, but I'm gonna hold out till I see more pics and evo.

  3. The 666 cut starts out really tight in the thighs but after a few weeks, the top block loosens up significantly. If you can bear the discomfort for a while, its a great cut!

    Truth.

The waist stretches out easier than the hips/thighs, but mine are starting to come along. I'm about 10 days in.

This denim is super tough & the cut can be really snug/stubborn, especially if sized down (I have 32" waist and sized down to 31).

Not comfy when breaking in/stretching but damn do they look good.

  4. Are there any fade pictures of the solid black?

Would love to see some as well. Those are some of the sharpest looking black jeans I've seen, would really like to see/hear how they fade.

  5. Thank you guys for the replies!

Jacket is the khaki version, non stencil demotex.

After wearing the jacket for 4-5 hours last night, the fit definitely loosened up. Nothing drastic, but it's not uncomfortably digging into my armpits like when I first put it on. I think I'm gonna keep the 38. I really love this jacket, and each time I took it off and put it back on, it grew on me more & more.

I imagine after a couple weeks of wear, the fabric will relax a little more and the jacket will become more comfortable (much like new heavy denim or other heavy fabric).

I really wanted the navy version but it sold out before I could buy one. I plan on getting one next year. Thanks to your reply setterman I'll likely get the 40 in blue.

    Cheers you guys, thank you!

(Ps- setterman- great looking English setter man! My uncle down in South Georgia used to train bird dogs for field & trial, his English setters were his pride in joy in the 80's. He's gotten older now and moved on to English cockers- says their more 'relaxed' at home than most bird dogs & require less food lol.)

  6. Picked up the bigger, heavier Buzz Demotex N-1 (will get pictures of it up in the next couple days), so need to move my old standard version.  Have it listed on ebay. (now sold)

I just got the heavy demotex version as well(history preservation non-stencil edition). Very nice jacket, fit is good, except... Man is it tight in the armpits. Really tight.

    I have a 38-39" chest, and ordered a size 38.

Now debating on sending it back & ordering a size 40. I really don't want the extra bulk, but these arm holes...
