  1. Chiming in late...@efujobu1, TTS is what I would have recommended. The 710 stretches in the top block pretty quickly and generously. Unless you have a huge seat and thighs, I'd point you away from SU1 and go TTS, which you did. I'm fairly sure my pair could have stretched an additional 1/2" in the waist if I didn't wear a belt, which reminds me...I need to machine wash my pair for a second time to bring them back in.

Glad you gave Naoki your business. He really is the best to work with.

  2. After 4 days...(BiG style)

    Waist: 34.75"

    Fr Rise: 11.875"

    Bk Rise: 16"

    Thigh: 13"

    Knee: 8.875"

The top block is really roomy...I could have easily gone TTS (33), but I like this fit a lot.

  3. Are the waist measurements correct or are the post ones stretched out?

Apologies, the "pre" waist measurement is 35.5"...I mistyped the value. I've corrected it.

@Max - the post measurements are from immediately after 100% dry, didn't even try them on.

They've already stretched out a bit...I can take more measurements tonight. My belt's kept the stretching in check thus far. I can imagine these getting back to pre-soak measurements fairly easily. I could have sized down 1.

  4. On day 3 with my 710s. Liking them a lot so far. The denim's much lighter than the Roys I've been wearing daily. Tried a different shrinking method on these, recommended by Ryo from Ooe...soak in hot water for 30min and then machine wash in warm water (no spin) and hang dry. I did this on the delicate cycle of my front loading washer. I wouldn't try this with a top loading unit that twists in the center.

Anyway, some pre/post measurements (BiG style):

    Size: 34x32

    Waist: 35.5"/33.75"

    Fr Rise: 12.25"/11.5"

    Bk Rise: 16.125"/15.125"

    Thigh: 13.5"/12.875"

    Knee: 9.125"/8.75"

    Hem: 8.25"/8.0"

    Inseam: 32.5"/30.75"

    May post fit pic later...cheers.

  5. Cold washed the Gatagata's last night.

    W: 32

    FR: 10.75

    TH: 12.6

    Inseam: 32.5

Hem: I cant remember, maybe 8 ish?  Ill double check tonight.  I just noticed the dual color chainstitch on the hem, which is really cool.

Im guessing there is a bit more shrink to go.

Love the denim.  has a nice course feel to it, but its not slubby.  I dont think the cut will work for me.  I was suspect of the rise from the get go and indeed its too low for my liking.  Dont have it in me to battle a fit anymore.  If it had an 11.5" rise this would be the money cut for me.

Ill probably post these for sale at some point in the future.

@gnomes - did you ever give these a whirl? i'm curious as to what the back rise measured out to be post wash. like you, the front rise is about 1/4" to 1/2" lower than desired, but workable as long as the back rise measures up.

  6. Just picked up a pair in size 35. I'll share the pre and post soak (x2) measurements when I get them.

By the way, I'm a measured 33" waist and went off of their sizing chart to determine my size. I was thinking of going size 34 (31.7" post wash), but wasn't sure if their denim would stretch back to raw (~34"), if I wanted to endure a 2+" stretch, or if I wanted to potentially compromise the cut.

Anyway, I'm excited to get these in hand.

  7. W34 L36 710's raw - one wash at 30C

    W 33inches

    FR 11.5inches

    BR 15inches

    Thigh 12.5inches

    Inseam 33.5inches

    Leg Opening 7.5inches

Fit is good and snug at the minute. Going to wear them round the house now for an hr or two and see how they stretch.... I am thinking these will fit much better than my 36's.

@CMO - How did these turn out after some wear? What's the waist measuring now?

  8. Hi crew...with the current batch of 660s, is the recommendation to go tts or size down 1?

Looking at the one wash measurements (for post soak reference), it seems like size 33 would be right for me, but when comparing it with size 32, the shrink rates seem a bit off, particularly the rise numbers. I understand that the denim will stretch back out easily, but by how much? I don't think I could squeeze into a size 32 after 2 hot soaks...especially if the yoke is narrow.

I'd consider the 1000xx or 1001xx, but their cuts seem too full for me, and for someone taller.

  9. I just gave my KS1002 a second hot soak...15-20 min in the hottest tap and hung dry.

Figured I'd share the measurements from pre-soak, soak #1, and soak #2. I missed a few along the way, but oh well.

    These are tagged 33.

    Pre-Soak / Soak #1 / #2
    Waist: 35.0 / 33.25 / 33.0
    Thigh: 12.75 / 12.3125 / 12.25
    Knee: 9.125 / -- / 8.75
    Leg Opening: 8.5 / -- / 8.0
    Front Rise: 12.5 / 12.0 / 11.875
    Back Rise: -- / 15.75 / 15.625
    Inseam: 37.5 / -- / 34.5

These are definitely the highest rise denim I own...looking forward to seeing how they evolve.
  10. I've been reading all of the Fullcount threads lately trying to figure out which size to get in the 1108 (13.75oz)...(I know, beating the topic to death). I've referenced the various raw/one wash charts on BiG, Okayama Denim, 2nd, etc and they seem to vary on the the one wash measurements, which leads me to asking those with experience with shrinking/stretching with this specific model.

I'm a natural 33 waist and I'm hoping that after an initial hot soak, that the denim will stretch back out to roughly 34.25" waist, 14.5" back rise, and 12.25" thigh, seeing that they supposedly start at 35" when raw.

I'm not slim, nor am I a lifter...in comparison, I have a similar build to Flash, just not as tall. Anyway, I'd appreciate hearing some thoughts on whether to sd1 (32) or go tts (33) with the 1108.

    Thanks.

  11. Those of you with well worn ST-120x, how much overall stretch are you getting in the waist...1", 1.5", 2"?

I'm really liking the fades some of you are getting with the shadow denim.
