There is a new book by Charla Harris and Russ V. Miller called American Overalls, available only in Japanese at the moment I believe (ISBN 9784846531096).

The GF has a pair of Civillianaire jeans that the zipper has broken - it separated at the bottom of the zipper. I contacted RCFG, and they said they could not replace the zipper, as the waist band needs to be removed. It also appears to me that other rather extensive dismantling may be necessary to replace it. 

 

Does anyone know of a tailor in the US that would be up to the task? Or would it be too expensive to be worth it? I'm trying to get her contact Civillianaire to see what they have to say.

Stopped by the shop the morning and was delighted to see a lovely Union Special being set up by none other than Roy Slaper! It sounds like things are still getting dialed in, but the S&S gents should be offering in-house chainstitch hemming in the near future.

@blueroute i think wearing an undershirt would actually save it from smelling bad since it would protect the pits of the work shirt from getting direct contact.

Nice, those should look incredible after two years. I was thinking of entering with my pair, but I got them secondhand and couldn't verify that they have less than 30 wears overall.

Half-assedly trying to sell a pair of those ^ that I've barely worn as I have finally admitted that the waist is slightly too small for me, and I don't like feeling cut in half, even if it is for some very nice pants.

 

Waist size 31, washed twice before wearing to get the shrink out.

 

I can take measurements/photos for anybody interested.

 

I think Kiya and tmadd could vouch for me as being a real and not sketchy dude if you asked them.

Also, we're one of the only 10 accounts in the world getting the Made in USA collection March 1st. (black or white, hi-tops)

Sorry if I'm being dense, but does this mean only SENY and SELA will carry the new US-made models? Or will SF have them as well?

Does anyone have a link or info on where I can see what Vibram soles are currently available?? I need to get my Danner x Tanner Lownsdale Boots re-soled soon and had planned to stick with Vibram. Looking for something with a lot more traction to it. I use these boots as everyday boots and for hiking. The current sole has such poor traction for hiking. Any opinions?? Was thinking maybe go nuts and put a ripple sole on them!
