Thanks guys!
The train tracks on my jeans are only from the knee down (too bad because these are one of my favorite fades). I think this is because I stretched out the outseams due to the tightness of the fit of the 1001s. The vertical fading (where TFH is famous for) is mostly visible on the back. I don't know why, maybe it will develop more in the future.

Hi,
these are my TFH 1001's. I have this pair for 2 years and had about 1,5 year of heavy wear. I've washed them 5 times and they had a couple of soaks. They also have been repaired quite a lot (at this moment as well). I really like the evolution of the 16oz denim. Hope you like them too!
Best regards,
Jarno

I wrote the second article - they use vintage Toyoda shuttle looms, they're dyed in Hiroshima prefecture and woven in Okayama. That's all I can say!
Thanks for the info! I really liked reading your articles

Nice jean and good fit
Question! I've read some really interesting articles about how The Flat Head jeans are made, like these:
http://www.denimhunters.com/2014/11/how-the-flat-head-jeans-are-made/
and
http://www.rawrdenim.com/2013/06/how-its-made-behind-the-scenes-at-the-flat-heads-denim-factories-2/
But I coudn't read in which mill TFH denim is made and by What's kind of vintage shuttle loom... does anybody of you guys know?
Cheers!

Too bad the fit doesn't work for you. I wish my 1001s had a little higher rise and more rooms in the thighs as well. They are fairly comfortable though and are curious how they look over a long period with many washes
What's gonna be your next project?

Really nice color and fades on those f310 and 1001s!
Why are you retiring your 1001s Kyle?? They probably look even more awesome after another year!

Two "heavy" arrivals this week. The Iron Heart IHSH-76 can be worn as a substantial shirt or over sized as a jacket. It is made with 17 oz. indigo selvedge denim. It comes with large copper snaps and twill lined cuffs, collar stands and side pocket linings.
The Indigofera Iconic Japanese fleece hoody features a warm off-white waffle knit lining and comes in charcoal.
It has a raglan sleeve construction and is super warm

That's a nice shirt!
Does anyone of you guys have evolution-/ fitpics of the 1001s?

They look to good to retire, still lots of wear in them. If you decide to retire them, put them in the retired denim gallery
Thanks! I still like the color/fadings but the fit is a bit to tight for me now so I only wear them occasionally to festivals/ concerts etc.

I double cuffed the jean to avoid the bootcut-look and I'm positive that the fit will get a more relaxed around my thighs after a couple of weeks wear. Keep you posted!

I've worn these RRL Low Straight for about a year and had two washes and a couple of repairs. They are made with the new 16oz Cone Mills Denim, hope you like them!

These are my pictures of my 1001s post soak. I did this soak for half an hour in fairly warm water. They shrunk about 1 inch in the waist (and stretched back again) and 1,5 inch in the inseam. This jean is still a bit tight around my thighs but I think I just have big thighs. Danny from Rivet and Hide thinks these jean will stretch some more. What do you guys think about the fit?
