  1. Hey guys, question on the XX-003 jeans. I'm considering my first pair of PBJ, and it looks like these are the best fit for me. Need a pretty high rise, and room in the thighs. I may or may no get them tapered, depending on what they look like on me.

Does anyone know of plans for PBJ to come out with this cut in the newer 18z. denim? I love the look of that one. Any overall opinions on the standard 14oz. vs. the 18oz.?

  2. I got this Strike Gold Loopwheeled Sweatshirt a year or two ago on the forums, and it was a bit too small on me, so I never wore it. It's showing a little wear and fading from the previous owner, but it's got a lot of life left in it. I think it was washed once or twice by the first owner, and I washed it once when I got it. Never put in the dryer.

    $120 shipped USA

There's a bit of fading around the collar and sleeve cuffs, and some on the elbows, etc.

  3. I just picked up a pair of new one-wash Okinawas, and they almost feel like they should be raw to me. Not crazy stiff or anything, but for their weight they feel pretty rigid considering they've been washed.

I'm comparing these to various other raw and washed denims, including a one-wash Samurai OG jacket I recently got, which was very soft.

  4. Thanks guys. First day wearing them today.

They fit really nice. They're already stretched a pretty good amount in the waist, and starting to settle in the butt. I'll post some good fit pics in a week or two, once they seem all stretched and a little softer. Even though I did;t realize when I got them that they were tapered, I'm glad they are, because I really don't have a nice-fitting pair of tapered jeans.

I just got a pair of SC Okinawas from someone on the Supermarket, which will be great as a classic straight leg cut when I want one, and I have my 3009s, which are sort of in between.

  5. Some inseam photos. I'll try to get some inside out tonight (although I'm kind of scared to turn these inside out right now because of how much of a pain I know it will be to turn them back out).

  6. Agreed, it's the only thing that makes sense. I tried calling Blue in Green to see if it rung a bell with them at all and they had no idea what I was talking about, but I'm not sure the guy on the phone really understood what I was saying.

In the end, it's all good because I think once broken in, the fit will be really nice. The top block on these fit great right now, although a little tight after the second soak, but it sounds like they'll stretch out a decent amount. First pair of Samurais!

  7. Ok, here's some detail shots of the S510XX24oz.

It's not out of the ordinary for basically all jeans to look kind of slim on me (including straighter cuts). I have pretty big legs in proportion to my waist, and I'm tall. I put up a fit photo of my FH 3009s for reference, which are a straight cut with a very small taper (size 34, with a true 32.5" waist).

  8. Just confirmed with the seller that they are from Blue in Green. He's "pretty sure" there were no alterations of any kind on them, but he said he literally went out one day and bought 15 pairs of jeans from BiG and Self Edge in NY, so he doesn't remember... First world problems.

  9. Just cold soaked them last night. I'll take some pictures of the inseam when they're dry. I looked really closely though, and if they were tapered, it was done perfectly. Same exact stitching style and color as is used everywhere else on the jeans. There's no chance these are fake, is there? Or some non-production run?

  10. Is there a way to tell if a pair of Samurais (or any jeans) have been tapered?

I just picked up a pair of the S510XX24oz. on eBay in basically brand new condition, and they fit really well, but the leg is tapered a bit more than I expected them to be, as I thought they were a classic straight leg. I'm pretty sure I like them better how they are now, but I was just curious. I'll post some fit pics later. These things are very baller, and actually much softer than I expected.

  11. Field Scout Trench-Style Coat/Jacket

    $190 $150

Not sure exactly what to call this jacket. It's a light weight jacket that's kind of in between a trench coat and a field jacket. Great rain jacket for light weather or for layering. Worn once or twice, never washed. I got it from Fred Segal a couple of years ago for around $550 I believe.

  12. I'm sure this is somewhere in this thread, but I figured I'd ask also — does anyone have info on the 24oz. denim used on the lot 12 S510XX jeans? Info or opinions on the denim or the jeans themselves? Thanks!
