  1. Just had a look at the new stuff up on Super Denim. Everything looks really nice and I can tell it's going to be another strong collection as usual. I could already definitely go for one of those wool pullovers and a few shirts.  But speaking of the shirts, out of curiosity, can I ask as to why the tie dyed woad shirt is so much more expensive than the normally woad dyed variant? Don't get me wrong, it's clearly gorgeous, but £255 is an astronomical price for a shirt.

  2. Damn I need some of those socks! They look brill. quick question to the people here, do you leave you're tender washing instruction tabs on your stuff when it's in really visible places? I do, as I'm a sucker for that type of quirky thing, just curious if I'm the only nutter doing this haha,

  3. Yeah, having recently bought one of the Jaledo red black and white flannels, I can attest to the quality of the fabric. Really nice, easily up there amongst the best flannels I've had! I quite like the look of the t shirts with the massive logo.

  4. Based on my positive experience with the natural ecru 138's, I couldn't resist getting a pair of the wattle twill version from Understudy, and they've just come. Couldn't be more pleased with them really. They're gorgeous, with nice little idiosyncrasies caused by the dying job. Will have to post some pictures at some point.

  5. No worries! I have to say, I do certainly appreciate how uncompromising you are in your vision, that's what makes Tender one of the best brands around in my opinion. The clothes have such character.

  6. The watches really seem to have caught on in Japan! And with good reason as they're lovely, I hope to be able to afford one some day! I recently bought an ecru butterfly shirt in size 1 and ecru strap back jeans in size 2. Both are items are incredibly lovely, but alas the butterfly shirt was just too big for my preference even in a size 1, so returned it. Shame as it's a wonderful piece, would look great with a woad tail shirt underneath it.

The strap back trousers are really great, that twill is next level! And reassuringly thick despite being made for S/S, which I appreciate. They were initially slightly more loose in the leg than I expected judging from fit pics on websites, but I was ok with it.  However I recently wore them with my woad dyed Tender vest and they got some bleed on them (first thing I've noticed getting any on), so subsequently gave them a 40 degree wash and they've slimmed down and also shortened so there's less stacking and they fit like they do on the model on the Branch website. I'm pretty pleased with this as while I'm an advocate of loose trousers, white trousers for me look better slimmer. Only criticism are a fair few loose threads, though I'm never sure with Tender pieces whether they are deliberately left (as part of the rugged aesthetic?) or simply a sloppy oversight, I noticed some seemingly questionable (or maybe "rugged"?) stitch work particularly on the butterfly shirt (as well as plenty of buttons getting caught in loose threads in the button holes). The stuff is still absolutely ace though of course! And I still need to gush over my beaverteen 133's at some point!

  7. Taking us back to the AW for a moment, I just signed up here for sole purpose of waxing lyrical about Tender's guard's jackets. I bought the black sheep's wool one last year, and although it was initially tough justifying spending £350 on the jacket to myself, once I received it I fell in love with it. Love everything from the way it fits, the engraved horn buttons, the weird way the collar sticks up when done up, and of course the wool itself is the real star of the show, so gorgeous. My only real criticism is that the buttons seem to be attached very loosely, and I'd be gutted if I lost one, although I've already given the jacket plenty of wear and they haven't fell off yet.

I was so impressed that when the AW 13  navy double breasted version came down in price during the sales at Superdenim, I couldn't resist getting that too (along with cockade of course!). And I think I like this one even more! The colour of the dyed wool in the sunlight is just brilliant. Lovely jacket.  Since there aren't enough fit pics of Tender jackets in this thread I'll post one, albeit a really shit quality one using a dirty mirror:

Next I need to make a post waxing lyrical about my Tender 133 beaverteen trews, which are just about the best pair of trousers I own!
