  1. Looks great, but, that's a bit looser? How did you size them compared to your usual?

Normally have the waist snugger so it stretches out. Went a bit looser so I could easily shove my thumb into the waistband while they were new.

  2. Hey dude - they may show slight variances due to going through the wash, but the tubes are knit at a consistent diameter.  Every piece is knit the exact same way and shouldn't be different in terms of length or width.  I'd recommend giving them a pull at the pit, bottom, and shoulders out of the wash and hanging to dry.  They may also appear a little different depending on how you've worn them and how they've stretched.

Alright, will give that a shot. So far they've just gotten a few washes and been line dryed to shrink them as much as possible initially. No wears yet.

  3. I'm dumb and ordered the wrong size, hopefully you get my e-mail about changing out the shirt size before you send it out.

Also the buttons you're using for the chinos look awesome. Definitely going to keep my eyes on them since I'm looking for another pair.

  4. Has anyone bought the railcar pomade? I'm really interested to see how well it works

Got a bottle of it yesterday from their workshop. No pics but it works great and smells a lot better than the stuff I normally use so no complaints.

  5. Quick question to the Red Wings experts, I pulled the trigger on a badly presented and thus very cheap pair of Red Wings Chukkas on eBay that look like this:

And not like the current models, e.g.:

There's no model number anywhere on them but I'm curious, when did the style change?

That looks like the 595 which is their regular workboot.

  6. @Noctilux so you wore them in the tub? interesting thanks

    Nah, screw that.  :P

I've never bothered to do that with any of the unsanforized stuff I have.

  7. @groominim the shrinkage variance has been my concern. On the stf jeans you bought did it have the post shrink size and bathing instructions on how to achieve that size was it warm or cold soak?   I hate to bleed out the indigo on a hot soak but would suck taking a cold bath.   Did you return them since they didn't shrink to the right size?

I'll throw in my experience too with mine. Sized my LVC's exactly like I do with my sanforized denim with it snug at the waist and did an hour long hot soak with agitation and rewarming the water halfway. Didn't lose that much indigo at all and the waist stretched back out past the original unwashed size.

Measurements on the patch are unwashed but they're tagged with what to expect.

    27-36" waist = size up by 2"

    38-48" waist - size up by 3"

    27-34" inseam = size up by 3"

    36"+ = size up by 3"

I completely ignored their guide for the waist and followed them for the inseam.

EDIT: Here are some 1944"s I have laying around that are still tagged.

  8. With all the film usage on the last couple of pages, there should be bonus points to anyone that posts all their pictures in film scans.

I'll do it with a 4x5 if someone donates me some sweats.  :P

  9. I have the AIS version. Don't tell me you actually own a Noctilux too...

I wish, lol. But my other username is right since I do own a Grandagon.

Before my time - but my guess is from when LF sold to Need Supply.  It's always cool to see an order come in from Richmond since I always thought no one had any idea about Superfuture stuff.

Since there's some camera talk going on - felt like I needed to post a picture of my camera bag from about a year ago.

Noice. I always liked the Mamiya 7 but ended up going with the GF670 since it's more portable.  Also nice Sebenza.

Here's two of my current go to film cameras I posted awhile back on r/rawdenim.

  10. Film really has that knack for revealing those beautiful details. I was shooting with a Nikon F5, 50mm 1.2 manual focus lens, and Fuji Superia Xtra 800.

I have a 50/1.2 on my F3HP. Which version do you have?
