  1. i think they mean there isn't a lot of USA made unsanforized denim. even from non-american mills.

    exactly.

I didnt know my unsanforized comment would generate such an argument. If we're being honest, I prefer sanforized. But the experience of pre-soaking your jeans and the softer hand and thicker creases which develop as a result leads to some unique results. I think we can all appreciate that...

  2. getting in about 7 styles of denim this week including special SUFU size 37, just updated 13 and 15 oz  Cone greasers.  quick question to the peeps, any interest in a zipper fly jean, with a vintage style zip?

because most of us size down in denim, zipper flys tend to be difficult. once they start to crease, they become unmanageable and bacon-like.

i'd be more interested in some unsanforized raws. outside of samurai and LVC, its hard to find a decent pair of shrink-to-fit.

  3. if you squat and work them legs then most def.!

thats been my strategy over the last month. already seeing fading in the thighs and butt, mostly from lifting motions. i'll dump some pics soon.

also have a well faded pair of the indigo duck miners ill post. also waiting on some new indigo twill field pants to deliver. pepper davies hooked it up and let me buy the sales sample early. ill post a fit pic when the come.

  4. yeah those Vans are the bomb, just wish they make them here would def pay more.

agreed. ive always wanted a made in the usa pair. they only switched manufacturing out of the states sometime in the 90s.

theres a guy online hocking deadstock pairs which were USA made. they run a little pricey but I think its worth it. Some of the old designs are wicked too.

  5. @stanrae unfortunately I'm not making anymore Indigo duck chinos at all. I have a little indigo duck left and  may do a proper pair of indigo sneaks. The ones I did before were both made out of White Oak duck. I do have some nice Cone Selvedge 10 oz indigo twill I'm cutting in the Miner and the Field pant shortly so more stuff to stain up your shit.

definitely in for those 10 oz indigo twills

  6. im 6'2 about 205 right now (im bulkin brooo). i wear a medium. they were real slim at first. let em stretch over night before i snapped my glamour shots. i dont plan on washing my sweats too often. gonna treat em like a pair of raws. every 3 months or so.

  7. Just got my sweats in the mail, and my hands were already indigo stained after just unpacking them and putting them on! Snapped a quick pre-wash fit pic and tossed them in the wash for a cold wash (no soap), in order to make them wearable without staining everything I come into contact with.. Still deciding how I want to dry them, I don't really want them any slimmer but I wouldn't care if I lost an inch or two of length - any thoughts?

Also, got the duck chinos and they fit a bit slimmer than I thought they would (size 32, kerouac fit). I need a bit more room in the thighs, so I'm either going to exchange them for a 33 in the kerouac or a 32 in the miner -  the deciding factor will be how much they would shrink with a cold wash or soak. Anybody have any advice?

I wear a 32 in the duck miners. I didn't wash mine for the first 4 months. Did a luke warm hand wash with a cold rinse. Shrunk around 5% at most. A little more than sanforized raw denim but not by much.  Stretched back out pretty quickly. Inseam was the only thing really affected. Thighs were pretty much the same after a day or two. Fades did shift though.

Go with the miner cut. It's nice having some breathing room around your junk and the fuller look through the leg is 'en vogue'

  8. new to superfuture. in on the sweatpant contest. will post fit pics soon.

christian, we gonna get any indigo dyed miners anytime soon? the sticklers at my work wont let me wear denim. ive gotten away with the indigo cone mills miners (a la "out in left field" contest) for the last 6 months but ive beaten them to shit. im gonna need a new pair in the next few months.
