  1. Looking for some advice. I've got a pair of 21BSPs. Worn them regularly for about 5-6 months. Im thinking about a wash/soak soon.

First off, how much do the 21BSPs bleed? And secondly, do people prefer to wash or soak these jeans.

  2. Kmoney, I ordered this pair from Danny at rivet and hide. Initially ordered the 34 because I like the fit of my flathead 3002s, which are 34s... They were too big so I got the 33s. I love the fit, and they are just starting to show some fading. I soaked on th esame day of purchasing, Luke warm for just under an hour. They honestly didn't shrink too much. Hope you like them. Post a fit pic.

First day of wear and I already love these jeans. I have been wearing flatheads for the past five months and I thought that the pioneer series denim was awesome, but these jeans have blown me away. I wouldn't be surprised if the flatheads are permanently relegated to the back of my closet...

  4. About to be joining this thread - just ordered my first pair of 3sixteens. Opted for the 3sixteen+ 21 BSP. Cannot wait. Gotta thank Danny @ Rivet & Hide for the hookup.

Will post some pics in the coming days when they arrive.

  5. yo yo yo. First post to APC thread. I was wondering if you guys could help me out. Last year around xmas I bought a pair of 32 petit standards. Still have them and love them, but they are different than any other pair that I have seen before. I couldn't seem to find them in this thread either... They aren't raw indigo series, they aren't raw black series, they aren't prewashed. The denim is a lot thinner than normal APCs as well... They are a blackish/grey, with this dope red selvedge strip. Absolutely no fading in a year.

Wondering if anyone can match my description. Thanks y'all.

  6. I just think it's funny that you guys can get so offended by a pair of jeans that 'isn't done right'. I bet that there would be a lot more people posting their fades if there weren't so many snobs on this topic...

  7. It does seem that denim fans in Thailand prefer their jeans to be as long as possible, nobody ever really seems to get their jeans hemmed there.  And yeah, going that long without washing, in heavyweight denim, in such a hot place... it's all a bit much for me.  These aren't really the sort of fades I aspire to, but since nobody's been posting that many faded pics of FH jeans on Sufu lately, I thought y'all would get a kick out of it.

Yeah I agree... No one posts any fade pics in this thread. I think it is hilarious how people rag on someone's personal style and their personal progress without actually posting any of their own fades or fit pics. It's such a joke... I woke up with so many reply notifications, only to come here and realize it's all the haters ripping on a pair of jeans worn by a guy who isn't even posting to sufu. Shee-it.

  8. Wow Cold Summer... Those are looking awesome. I can't wait to see more updates in the months to come (keep them coming!). I was always very set on washing at the four month mark, but these are certainly making me reconsider that approach.

If these had been pioneer series, what do you reckon the differences in post-wash results would be at this stage? Negligible?

  9. Yeah I got these in december. The lighting on the top block is probably a bit flattering, but not far off at all. I like my jeans slimmer than most FH guys do (check out my fit pic a while back), so they're bound to break down at a faster rate.

  10. I like the FH shirt patterns and I'm sure the quality is great, but am I the only one who thinks that they just don't fit a lot of people properly...? Western and Japanese body types just aren't the same... They look super short in the body and the sleeves sometimes.

Kyle, what are the sleeves like on those shirts when you stretch out your arms?

  11. I'm afraid that those might be too small after you wash them... it's seriously insane how much a wash made my jeans shrink.  I feel like with Flat Head's pioneer denim a hot wash up front is kind of obligatory.

I only ever really soak, and mildly handwash. I'm not worried.

  12. Sup everyone, first post on sufu.

Just started wearing my FH3002s courtesy of Rivet and Hide (thanks Danny). Wanted some opinions on how they're going to stretch out. Did one warm soak, spun them, wore them wet, hung to dry. Lost just over 1'' in the waist, 3'' in length.

After two days wear they are great in the waist, knee, seat, and I love the leg opening. But the thighs are a bit too snug for my liking. What are the chances that I will see some stretch here. I rarely wash/soak my jeans so bare this in mind. Can't upload fit pics at the moment... -RW
