  1.

Requesting measurements for a fully shrunk pair of size 34 new ducks.

Shoot me a pm, if you want.

I'd also like to know post soak measurements for 34 new ducks. Does anyone have a pair of these as well as the Big Bros? A side by side comparison of sizing would be great!

  2. At the risk of sounding like a total meat head (and repeating a question), do any of you guys lift? About a year ago I took up powerlifting as a hobby and I've gotten more serious about my training since. As a result, my legs and butt have gotten significantly bigger, and thus, my pants don't fit like they used to (or at all). I've looked at b_F's fit guide to get an idea about sizing but I was wondering if anyone with bigger legs has had a particularly positive experience with specific styles.

@BrownMetallic -- What you've got going on in the top block looks very interesting.

  3. Tightness is definitely a factor. Unfortunately, I'm kind of burning the candle at both ends in the way of tightness. I keep washing more shrinkage out of the jeans and at the same time I'm growing my ass and legs at a seemingly unprecedented rate a la squats and deadlifts.

I did not account for changes in my body's composition when I got them. With foresight, I am not blessed.

  4. A new jean, how exciting! I just got my Big Bro's back from SENY, fixed and wearable once again.

At this point, I've hot soaked them twice, washed them once by hand and twice in the machine. They've shrunk a lot in the thigh which has changed the silhouette of the jean and they look like a boot cut when they're not cuffed. There has been a lot of shrinkage in the length too. I'm about 6'2 and I never got the pants hemmed. Initially, I wore a double cuff which rested right on the top of my shoe with very little stacking. However, as I've washed them, I reduced the cuff to a single cuff that's a little less than an 1.5 inches to achieve the same amount of stacking that I had with the double. I can wear them without a cuff as well and the stacking is pretty minimal too. This was definitely not the case when I started wearing them.

The pants always fit a little bit tight in the thigh after I wash them and usually loosen back up again after 2-3 weeks of daily wear. It does feel like there is a lot of stretch in the denim so they're still pretty comfortable. That said, if my ass, quads and hammies get any bigger these may become museum pieces.

The uniqueness of the denim is starting to reveal itself too. Lots of vertical fading and other interesting things are happening in the top block, train tracks are starting to become visible and the arcuate on my wallet pocket is starting to break down in a cool way.

I'll post some pics in a few...

  5. I just blew out my CB-1's and I currently live at least six hours from NYC. I don't have a car to travel to Self-Edge to drop them off to be repaired and I'm thankful that this is the most pressing issue in my life right now. It is agonizing though, knowing I'll have to wait until March to get them into the shop just so I can wait another 2-4 weeks to get them back.

  6. That's good to hear. I try to look at the clothing I buy as an investment and I'd be upset if, three months from now, this pair needed to be repaired for a major malfunction. I'll be wearing my CB's everyday for a while so I'll be sure to post about their evo. Does anyone know about other lightweight pairs look after significant wear?

  7. I've been wearing my Big Bro's since the end of October when they were released. They're rad, but, my legs seem to be busting out of these bad boys. If I had huge legs maybe I'd understand why the outseem looks like it's about rip, but I don't. Has anyone else found this to be the case with their pair? The stitch seems to be loose throughout the leg and not just in high tension areas like the knee and quad. I can easily expose the stitching by the leg opening by gently pulling the top and bottom pieces of fabric away from each other. Should I be concerned or is this normal?
