Good look but skip the bag for the gd lysol spray!

  2. Haven't been in the good ol' superdenim forums in a long time. Years pass and the clothes just get better!

Some old old Left Field chinos and tee and relatively new Buzz Rickson ma-1. I love Buzz Rickson with a religious fervor.

  3. Gonna have to vouch for the 3005.  Favorite cut since my Roy SF-01s.  Denim is nice and crunchy - bleeds ALOT. Will be washing regularly. A very flattering fit for bigger legged gents.

Question: Has anyone attempted to remove the flat head pocket tag featured on most of their recent flannel shirts? Thinking of nabbing one of them, and while I'd prefer no tag, if it's difficult, I'm lazy enough to leave it be.

  4. Mpukas, perhaps that jab at you wasn't fair (not really intended as a jab but still...) as usable pockets are far from guaranteed in this game.  The pockets of my IH634 and real mccoys are barely adequate.  But the Roys are perfect, trust me.

That being said, not sure what the dude is the messenger of beyond the standard rawrdenim comment board pricing complaint bullshit that has already been expressed ad naseum with any Self Edge release.

But whatever.  Excited to see what's next for Roy even if I won't be purchasing anything else soon.

  5. Christian told me via email that with the new releases they altered the top-block to provide a bit more height so as to reduce any ass-crack appearances when sitting or bending over (riding a motorcycle was his example).  He also mentioned they may change back to the previous measurements for future releases.  My black marias are a pretty much ideal fit but I will withhold judgement  till I try on one of the newer cuts.  Both the BlackBlue and the Collect Mills 18 oz are tempting...

  6. I would screen cap but don't really want to...anyways, Kiya has already expounded upon this. Similar to the Big Bro with normal jean details, so pretty much matches the mid-rise straight tapered description.

Looking good, Louis Bosco, its been said before but that Cone denim is crazy slow to fade but so worth it once the time is put in.  My Roys are really only just starting to pop after considerable wear the past two years (probably closer to a year of actual wear time).

Edit: Forgot the RS01 denim is not the exclusive cone run he used for the RS03/04/SF/KS/whatever else.  It looks very similar though so I'd assume same principle holds true.

  7. ^Correct.  The Special Fit (SF01) had a medium rise and a very slight taper and was only run once back in early 2013.  The Kinda Specials (KS1001/2) are amazing too but the rise is too high for my liking.  I would expect the upcoming release to be a medium rise, straight-tapered based on the very little I know.

  8. About to drop off my Special Fits at SENY for a repair.  Extremely excited for the Roy release slated for this month.  I've been annoyingly consistent in my lobbying for a SF02, and Roy was gracious enough to reply to an email of mine, and in summation: this upcoming release sets out to improve upon what Roy intended to accomplish with the Special Fit, but with an all new fit with slightly more taper.

  9. About to head over to SENY to check out the new Stevenson cut.  Will be a battle to choose between those and the upcoming Roy release which (according to the man himself) is due around mid-March.  Sounds like they may be similar fits as well.  Will be a tough choice.  I guess that's what they call one of those good problems.

  10. Hey Left Field guys, curious why the measurements of the collect mills greaser are so different from the other fabrics?  Would've copped but there's an 1.5" difference in back rise, and about .75" in thigh, front rise, etc.  My Black Marias in 34 are perfect.

  11. Met Andrew @SENY yesterday while looking for something in the shadow selvedge.  Just a genuinely awesome dude and incredibly welcoming.

Unfortunately the back rise of the120x I brought home cannot contain my more-than-ample badonkadonk, so if anyone wants a once worn (from SE to home) slightly discounted pair of 34s, PM me.

Will definitely be keeping tabs on any pending shadow releases in the fuller cuts.  Understand you can't do every denim in every cut.
