  1. I received the Okinawa today. They are raw (N). Definetly. But I was the last one to recognize that anyway :D ...

Here are some pics of the pre-soak fit. The fit is very generous, to say the least. It could be to big for me, even though I think I did my mathematics correct. But I soaked them anyway, out of pure curiosity, for more than 2 hours, very gentle. I do not want to harm the snake skin patch. The details are very nice!

I am interested in the result, and your thoughts. I have measured a 33,85 inch waist pre-soak, and after all I need a 32, 32.5....

    Goodday!

    What is the shirt?

  2. 'Hanging knitting' is a term I've seen used for Deluxeware, Barns, Strike Gold, Cushman - it makes sense as the loopwheel machines are hanging from poles.

Why is the BR sweat thought not to be loopwheel anyway? I've handled BR, Ball Park, Deluxeware and Strike Gold - I couldn't tell the difference. I know it doesn't really matter, I'm just intrigued by the mysterious loopwheel.

  3. I sent Buzz Rickson's Japan an email. They told me their sweatshirts are made on hanging knitting machines, not the modern 'sinker' machines. Either they are lying or the aficionados who claim it is not loopwheeled are mistaken.

  4. My Gung Ho/Earl's Apparel duck pant arrived last week. The were not raw. A note on sizing, I recently saw the fatigue pant listed at Archival. A google search revealed the retailer All Seasons who carried the same made in the USA Earl's line at a lower price pt than Archival.

Archival rec'd sizing up on the Fatigue pant which was good advice. Without a reference, All Seasons rec'd I go with the same size in the duck camp trouser. Sadly, the camp trouser runs big, not small so I'm swimming in them. I'd recommend going TTS in the camp trou.

They are pretty well made and certainly a tremendous value for a made in USA garment.

would have to disagree here. The construction is the same as you will find in any Asian sweatshop. I had the OD sateen, the fabric feels so cheap. You certainly get what you pay for.

  5. We have just located possibly the last Reservoir Hood jacket for sale anywhere, it's tagged medium but fits more like a standard large and it is my favourite piece of outerwear ever made, by anyone.

It isn't currently showing on the website ( as we thought we had sold out ), please PM me or Hectic for a price if you are interested.
