In my apt building cameras were installed to catch ppl doing airbnb, and landlords dont face any penalties for reporting it, since its not them getting the huge fine.
Is it just the host that gets penalised?

So post May '13, Airbnb is illegial in New York.
That said, I'm still planning to use it and wanted to know whether it's really enforced or not. How risky is it?

For burgers, I also love this spot in Pyrmont, Sydney called 'Pulse'. It's near the Star casino, down the steps across the street, close to 'Coles' supermarket.

Website ain't much but the burgers are great. Just like Grill'd but more interesting options and homemade style. They do burritos on fridays too I think.

I'm looking at renting an apartment for 6 days through Airbnb. Would Chinatown, Lower Nob Hill or Mission District be best? this is where I've found some within my range
I eat gluten/dairy free so would be good to be within range of a wholefood type grocery store.
(first time to the the US)

Well I think i'm going to have to risk it, since hotel prices are crazy and I'd like a kitchen. Worst case is I'll be out of pocket, get kicked to the curb and have to move to a hostel I guess.
