Don't know if this has been asked already but does Blue in Green still carry Samurai Jeans? I went to their website last night and it looks like they only sell chinos and belts now...

I think they have a ton of stock that are not listed online. I would shoot them an email to see if you can still buy Sammies online or just drop by the store if you live near Soho

LOL, Denimio, always giving me douche chills.

Speaking of ugly jeans, Alibaba has turned out to be a treasure trove:

No lie this is some cool illustration. While I wouldn't be wearing this down the streets, denim fabric itself would make for a great canvas for wall arts.

  3. If the denim is stf, then I always need a 13" thigh (pre-wash) minimum, measured the BiG way. My following pairs all have 13" (or bigger thighs):

Many people like roomy thighs too but I think 13" unwashed thigh for 31"-33" waist (so like 12.5" post-soak) would be a bit too big for the common masses.

  4. ^ thats gonna look really neat once it looks worn in

This has probably been asked before but does anyone know where to get a good amount of kakishibu dye in the US? Looking to do a coating on my one year old pair of century denim

I saw Kapital selling persimmon dyes in a bottle a few months ago in Bangkok, Thailand. Not sure if they're available at any other Kapital stockists.

Anyways the best I could find from googling around is this rakuten link (so no, not in the US unfortunately)

  5. oh, my heart aches.

size 30 cisco century denim = leg opening and thighs were good but waist too small. size 32 waist fits but everything else is now too big.

size 32 stone century denim = everything too small. super tempted to try out a size 34 or 36 but not holding my breath.

why, kapital, why. ;-; really jealous of people who could rock their cuts. the century denim is fantastic.

You gotta be like Karl Lagerfeld and starve yourself down so you can wear Kiro Hirata's masterpiece.

  6. Did a direct comparison between my little used S0110XJ lot 12 and my vintage, 2nd hand lot 8...

All went fine until "somebody" decided to photobomb the shoot...

Subtlety may not be his strongest suit, but at least he prefers vintage.

Can you post closeup shots of the fabric and the patch? I am quite envious as the horizontal streaking is very cool compared to the more 'flat' looking LHT from current generations.

  7. Thanks! That's a big help, I'll definitely look those up! The fact that they stretch back to raw measurements in the waist is a big plus. Anyone know from experience which website has the most accurate measurement on these and other pairs of Samurais? I know that depends on the method of measuring, but I've seen various numbers given using supposedly the same/similar methods.

I think Blue in Green have the most accurate measures for Sammy.

  8. That quality of warehouse products except the jeans and loopwheeled tees has degraded thru the years.

That the flathead jean sizing went from true to size to size up 4.

That newer brands from japan doesnt mean good quality .

That eternal jeans are just ordinary jeans

    Fabric is basic

That samurai is over hyped and too much details going on

That fullcount is auper consistent with the quality of their jeans. The fabric is super consistent and construction cant say with the clothing line

That real mccoys quality also degraded. Specially their clothing line and sweats and tee shirts

That sugarcane quality only equals to its price .

That cushman products is super underrated that retailers in the usa should carry them

That muller and bros is worth a try just get a wallet or even a tee shirt is super worth it i swear

That pherrows quality of clothing and denim is not bad but can do better for tehprice

That flathead clothing and jeans quality keeps going up while other brands keeps going down

That you should start buying evisu jeans thats still NOT made by warehouse because it will be gone soon.

Can you give 4-5 photos or explanations to show what you mean by various brands having their clothing quality degraded? I haven't been around long enough to really tell the difference between 'back then' and nowadays.

  9. July 2015 Flat Head update, 3 washes and then a Fanya inspired shower soak. I think i'll continue with the shower soaks from this point on unless they really start to need a machine wash

Nice fades after only 3-4 months! You have very solid roping development already.

Also did you buy this pair of TFH from Japan? The arc still looks like the original version.
