    Roy KS1002 "Kinda Special" Jean

Roy has done another run of the KS1002 jean which has now been restocked at all of our stores.  We believe this is the best fitting jean he's done thus far, hence why it's been redone in a couple of different versions.

These are sure to go quick, check our online store for high-res images, a full specification list, and the size chart.

The 3/16th needle spacing is killer.

  2. Beyond that, it's very hard to compare a jean made in a factory to a jean made in a custom built factory which is run by a single person. With each jean (or shirt) that Roy does he swaps, tunes, and moves around his entire set-up so that it's to his liking for the production run he's about to tackle.

Even if you were to take the Single Man Made element out of the comparison, the construction detail and ingenuity within his products is far better than any factory in the world (that i've ever seen).

I have a pair of LF ducks, and there are a few flaws that ruin things for me. I personally don't think Roy's attention to detail can be matched.

I also don't think most people know how hard it is to change up your machines and make adjustment on your own. It could take hours to properly adjust a tacker for one specific operation. Most factories have a ton of techs who do that. Doing it all on your own takes a lot if skill and time.

  3. I had a bad experience dealing with Roman the owner. I guess the best way to put it is that he doesn't seem very honest or genuine. He wasted my time and made up ridiculous excuses to renege on a deal we made. Btw, this is all in regards to to him purchasing a couple sewing machines from me.

Hard pass on anything and everything related to Roman & Lawless. His KS is also full of shit and misinformation.

  4. You're back.. posting to Sufu, but won't return any of the e-mails sent to you about a 43200g which was bought from you over a year ago and never worked.  The person that bought it paid you $6000 for a paperweight.

This is funny and sad. Is this the same guy who sells nothing but shitty Union Special 43200G and Edge-Lock machines on eBay? He sold my friend a 'first generation' 43200g that never worked, and quoted me $450 for an aftermarket hemming attachment.

Hard pass on anything and everything he sells.

  5. Reece 101.M has never been rare for 2 reasons:

    - it has always been quite expensive

    - most of the old machines have gotten refurbished and are still to be seen in production lines today

AMF-Reece (company) is still in operation, producing the mechanical follow-ups S-100, S-101 and S-105 till this day.

You should have no problem finding a used machine, but I'm not sure if you'll like the price.

I remember learning and working on the old 101.M during my years as an industrial tailoring apprentice...

I was being sarcastic. I actually own a Reece 101 on top of other vintage industrial sewing machines.

    Thanks for the info tho.
