Hello peeps,
I need some advice. I'm gonna pull the trigger on the 13's 18oz. Now, I have them in the regular 14oz and they shrunk a lot after many cold water washes, the waist got back to original measurements but the rest never. Does anyone have any experience with the 18oz version for shrinking. Post soak and wash if possible. This will help me decide the size.

Super Tempted by the 710XX-24oz. Especially since I can get 20% off at BiG when I show up. I was planning on my next pair to be super slubby/hairy. Any comments on the texture of the denim? Was considering PBJ-18oz and Oni Secret Denim as well. Decisions Decisions....
I was also hesitating between the two of them, i finally bought the 710xx-24oz yesterday, but I think the PBJ-18oz is much slubbier. I went for the sammies mostly because I think the fit is better for my liking and the 24oz weight. If you want slubby you should go for the PBJ's, compared to the 24oz version they did in the past, the 18oz is much slubbier.

I'm really interested in the FH8002 in 18oz denim - I don't own any FH, and I need to get myself a pair.
Can you guys help me out with the fit, as I don't have a clue on FH's cuts. Is the 8002 the same cut as the 3002, just with different denim? Cheers! mpp

Hi own a pair of FH8002, my personal suggestion is to size up one. It's the same cut as the 3002 but in the new 18oz denim. I sold my pair of 3002 sz36 because they shrank too much after a few washes. I'm always either sz35 or sz36 in all brands I own (Samurai, IH, PBJ, Momo) but in this particular cut from FH, sz38.

Wonderful pair and makes me motivated for my BKBs.
If the 5000 sits comfortable to loose on the hip and thigh, you could go with the same size in the 710. But, as all latest releases ran a bit small, I personally would size up. Also because the thick fabric could result in a tighter feeling.
Tnx for the info! I will order a 36 and if they are a bit loose i'll wash and soak in hot water which I normally never do.

Hello peeps!
Just wanted to share some pics of my s5000bkb for those wondering how they fade. I got them back in march and added them to my current rotation (total 4 pairs, I like variety). I haven' t worn them that much since I wear a suit 9 to 5 monday to friday but they are fading very fast. One wash to get most shrinkage out, and yes, I had them tapered.

P.S - I will order the 710xx 24oz as my next pair. The size 35 in my s5000 fits perfectly in the waist, the straight leg opening was too wide for my liking but I got that fixed with the tailor. What size do you guys suggest me to get?

Hi everyone!
I received my FH8002 on June 4th from 2nd and just wanted to share my taught. First off the new 18oz denim texture feels great, pretty hairy, super dark blue, nice leather patch. Construction is top notch. I love the double stitch on the front and back pockets. I have to say that compared to all my other jeans (IH666s, Samurai's s5000bkb-RR, pbj xx013, Momo's 0705sp) they don't breath well at all during hot summer days, but who cares! I sized up one from my regular size and the fit is spot on.

Hi guys!
I need some advice please. I just pre-order the FH 8002 18oz. I used to have a pair of 3002 that shrank too much even cold washing which I sold. This time I sized up like I should have before and I just want to know if anyone has experience with that 18oz denim (unless it's new) and how much shrinking I should expect from the inseam. Staff at 2nd are telling me huge numbers so just looking for a second advice before hemming.

Hello everyone! Just received my first pair of Samurai's and I'm glad I pulled the trigger on those (S5000 BKB-RR) The size is spot on after a 1h warm soak (35W) but i found them to be pretty wide so I had them tapered a bit and now they are perfect. I have two questions:
1) Does this model fade at all like the indigo ones or not since both the warp and weft are black? Any examples out there?
2) Any suggestions on the next pair from Samurai but with a more slim straight type cut?
