  1. In my experience, there is still an appreciable amount of potential shrinkage in most one-wash unsanforized jeans (especially ones that you can tell visually haven't just been blasted with an industrial dryer).  Does this mean the fit is going to change drastically?  Probably not really, but, if it is just a hair of shrink below the knees that's desired as was indicated, that is an area what won't really stretch back at all.  I'd also be interested to see fit pics, because sometimes "slightly slimmer below the knees" can be pretty sufficiently sorted out by hemming/cuffing/wearing the jeans and letting the rigidity settle a bit.

Would post some pics later on, btw how do i resize pics in this forum's editor.

  2. I have just done this very thing.

But 'selective' shrinking? Not convinced. You could always drape the lower legs into a bucket and fill with boiling water from the kettle but you're gonna burn your fingers when you agitate!

Anyway the 107 is already slim and tapered, and the skinniest of all of their unsanforised cuts, with a tiny hem width (!) so in all likelihood they are fine.

I am aware that the 107 is already the slimmest cut, but the thing here is i am short, so it looks kinda awkward below the knee.

One Wash unsanforized?? They are one or the other surely? Just give em a hot soak either way if they are fine above the Knee they will stretch back out anyway but you may get the shrinkage you want in the hem that won't stretch back

I am getting it hemmed post soaking anyways, It's is too long.

  3. I recently bought a "One Wash" Studio D'artisan SD-107 Unsanforized jeans.

Fitting is good all above the knee and i love it, but i prefer it just slightly slimmer below knee.

So I am wondering if it is possible to further shrink the One Wash-ed jeans by hot soaking?

I actually came across this same issue two years back with my Japan blue X Momotaro 0200SP.

As it was a Sanforized pair I didn't think much about ways to shrink it and got it altered at a tailor.

And the result was bad

And so here I am seeking advice so I wont have to go though an awful tailor experience again  B)
