  1. Here are my 714s in size 33 after an initial warm soak.

Any comments or suggestions on the fit are appreciated. I'm considering another soak to get rid of a bit of length, otherwise I think they've turned out pretty good.

  2. Sweet thread!

    I wear:

    9 for converse all-stars

    9,5 for adidas originals

What would my size be for the Red Wing Beckman 9016 and Wolverine 1000 mile boots?

    I'm 10.5 in Converse All-Stars

I'm 11.5 to 12 in Nike Running Shoes

    I'm 11 in Red Wing 8196 and 9156

So you're gonna be a 9.5 or 10 in the Beckman depending ion your fit preference. Me, I like my shoes to be a bit tighter.

  3. Anyone have an experience with the 4001bk's and how much they shrink?  My 3009's shrank a ton and I was wondering if the 4001bk denim is similar.  Thanks!

In my experience, they did not shrink much at all. I even machine washed them on hot. In fact, I had to have them hemmed an additional 2 inches and taper the legs about an inch due to the lack of shrinkage.

  4. I've had four pairs of jeans altered by Railcar; 3sixteen, Flat Heads and Iron Heart. Each time they exceeded my expectations with their service and tailoring skills. If you've got a pair of jeans that need to be altered in any way, you'd be remiss not to give them a call.

  5. In my experience, I got very minimal shrinkage with my SE05BSPs and 4001bks from soaking them. You need to machine wash them if you want maximum shrinkage. Don't worry, they don't lose any noticeable color.

  6. the 555 fit is golden! "almost" the same as the 301S fit (which is a tiny bit more roomy in the waist/thigh area imo!)...

here´s the fit of my 555-03 (superblack that fades to grey) on day1:

the fit is way better now though, since they have been hemmed and i´ve dropped 11lbs. in the last few weeks!...

Just to clarify, is it the 301s that are more roomy or the 555?

  7. Does anyone have experience with Utility Bifold and taller currency bills? I'm wondering if it's big enough to fit Japanese Yen. Thanks!

The longest Yen bill is 6.29 inches. That will fit nicely in the Tanner Bifold.

  8. I am always around to answer questions. B)

And yes, it does - it has the same hairy, textured feel as the Pioneer denim, and based on the faded samples I've seen, it has the same vertical fading - only black. It's an original formula FH developed to fade like indigo, and the threads are rope-dyed like indigo denim, so the core of the thread remains white for better fading ability.

This makes me very excited to start wearing my 4001BKs!
