  1. Got a peek at some of Jiberish's upcoming techwear stuff. Very nice minimalist 3L expedition shell and Trench coming down the pipeline. I'll grab some screens when I am out of class today. Definitely a brand to keep an eye on. I am speaking with the owner soon about working part time in their Boston store so hopefully I can get some more info to share.

This Is the 3L shell. It's all one panel in the front with concealed zips on the side. Pretty sure its 20k/20k

And a mac trench that is also 20k/20k.

  2. So did anyone get those Roshe NM Sneakerboots in the end? How's the sizing?

Or is everyone on the Tubular train now.

Also ordered the new Extra-Warm Heattech from Uniqlo. Wasn't all too impressed with the regular version last year but the fabric and the styling on the new one looks more like a normal tee.

I've yet to find the particular iteration I posted in here for sale. I've seen the low version but the black leather mids are nowhere to be found.

  3. Hey Guys,

I am on the hunt for some non-ARC tech pants. I am looking for a taper cut and something with stretch. Any ideas other than outlier, mission, SISP?

Check out my review of Isaora's utility pants on the previous page. I think they'll fit the bill.

  4. Okay so the Isaora stretch utility pants showed up on monday and I've been wearing them this week to get an initial impression for you guys. Keep in mind my experience with tech pants lies only in the realm of ski/snowboard pants and occasionally handling Acronym/veilance/stone island (shadow) stuff.

Lets start with what I don't like:

     - Biggest gripe is that they're a little too short. I am wearing them with Sk8-hi's today and the cuff keeps riding up over the top of the sneaker. Some extra length would be nice.

    - The cuff is really narrow. This looks awesome but in terms of practicality is a weakness. The cuff needs to be stretched over my hiking boots.

    - No belt loops.

    What I do like

    - Comfort - Fabric feels great, doesn't feel clammy like some tech fabrics do against the skin.

    - Color - Its black.

    - Freedom of movement. Holy shit these things are stretchy. You could easily climb or do yoga in these.

    - Water-resistance and Breathability - Very comfortable to jog around in, water-resistance stood up well to the spray bottle I have. It hasn't rained, I did what I could.

    - Back pocket - The little pocket in the back is perfect for stashing keys. Keeps them high enough on my ass that I'm not sitting on them.

    - Fit -  taper makes these look pretty bad ass. Lots of room in the thighs. Looks good without restricting movement

    I wish they thought of....

    - Belt loops, or at least a d-ring for keys.

    - Taping the seams

    - An expandable cuff to accomodate boots

I wanted to take a bike ride in them to better test the breathability and the range of movement, but some dick-whistle stole the back wheel off of my bike yesterday. Overall I'd consider these a worthy purchase, especially if you can get them at a discount. If you have questions lmk and i'll add to this review.

  5. V curious to see how isaora's stuff is in terms of quality these days. Based on my previous experiences with them, I'd not give them another cent

    ISAORA.GHOSTLY.INSULATED.SHIRT.1_grande_

I have the Ghostly International version of Isaora's insulated shirt. I've been wearing it a lot lately since its been cold and raining off and on in Boston and it's performed admirably. The construction is good, fit is great (though I had to size down to a S from a M), and it's much more water resistant than I expected. In a light rain the shirt is enough to keep me dry. The primaloft performs well, I can transition from outdoors to indoors without discomfort in either environment. This particular version has a quilted pattern that looks dope and does a nice job of keeping that insulation in place.

All the seams and stitching have held up well. I can't find any mistakes in the construction. The only quality issue i've taken note of is that the buttons are loosening, but it's not as if theyre falling off theyve just been used a lot. The MSRP was $265. I'd expect some more features and maybe some more reinforcement for that kind of money, but I got it for $160 which I think is a fair price for it.

There is a forgotten stash of them on Ghostly International's webstore for anyone who is curious, http://www.theghostlystore.com/collections/clothing/products/isaora-ghostly-quadcube-insulated-shirt. Kind of funny that they have a $250+ jacket alongside nothing but t-shirts, no wonder they still have a bunch of them.

  6. Hey I couldn't resist, I used the first code on a pair of the stretch utility pants. Just what I need for my often rainy bike rides to class. I'll put them to the test and post a review here. Thank you igneousity!

  7. La-Tache-_option2.jpg?v=1412129671

Jiberish (a brand skiiers and snowboarders on here might be familiar with) is making a foray into techwear. I think this is the best piece from their new line. http://www.jiberish.com/collections/jiberish-grand-cru/products/the-la-tache

The La Tache (la tahsh) is a 3 in 1 system jacket consisting ofJapanese 3L 20k exterior shell and removable buttoned-in liner (the Corton) that also functions as an independent jacket.  It was designed to be a clean, minimalist jacket with no zippers visible on the exterior.  The shell has a yarn dyed natural look and is 20k mm waterproof.  It is entirely tape seam sealed.
