  1. Thanks again Jdemotion. Next season sounds great - really hope the online store or the London stores buy the French in the plain side-zip which is my favourite from the runway boots.

The dark brown suede is nice, kind of wish I'd bought the Wyatt Chelseas from AW13 now - they actually went to sale but I thought they were not versatile enough at the time, whereas now I see you can just wear them with pretty much everything that you would wear a black boot with, and they look great (even black belts). These are the blake 30 jodhpurs with the thicker sole, but I'd still be tempted to get the London 20 version if stores here buy the brown suede:

The Hedi 30 is an improvement on the London boots I feel. The cropped jodhpur is nice in the London 20, but the covered gore Chelseas etc don't look anything special.

On an unrelated note, I was looking through the Firstview pictures, and there's a couple of nice looking coats at the end of the show that were not part of the main looks (as if there wasn't enough nice jackets to choose from already!):

I like the look of this trench:

And also this single breasted coat with epaulettes first left of centre:

  2. Thanks again. The boots sound great in 45mm and I can't wait to see the choice - a definite purchase for me in some variation. I've actually been waiting for a pointed boot, but not as pointed as the duckies / santiags, since the first season. I mean I love the Wyatt, but it's quite chunky so it will be great to have a sleeker alternative. I'd probably go with the plain calf leather when it comes to it as while I like the crinkled leather, the boxer leather would be more versatile.

I think I'll also be taking one of the belts which look really sleek too (albeit very plain). Again I imagine those will come in the basic calf leather as well as the crinkled leather.

Do you happen to know if they've done anything with the cropped jodhpur boots? The London 20 version, while nice, has been around for two seasons now so it would be nice if there was something new.

    Thanks.

  3. Sounds great, thanks for the information. Did you happen to see any boots with a similar shape in the toe to the runway models, but with a lower heel? I love the shape of the boots - pointed but not ridiculously so, and the leather looks amazing on the boots and belts (seems to have a kind of crinkly texture).

Jeans being a true 15 cm sounds very promising, though for me the hem size hasn't been the problem with jeans post AW13's raw skinny jeans, but rather the looser fit in the hips, thighs, knees and calf (waist and hem have actually been okay).

  4. Lvr have very limited sizes left in the AW13 skinny jeans, and I bought the last pair of black 29s in Europe some time ago, ordered to Sloane Street from Milan. The indigo is still available though. I'm pretty sure stores here haven't replenished since AW13, so any sizes still available are those still left over. Hopefully they will be replenished but you still can't guarantee them being the same cut (for example, with the SS13 skinny jeans, there were actually two batches here in the UK; the first ones that were in store in Jan 13 were really skinny, but when they replenished in around May, they were much bigger than the previous ones, particularly in the waist.

  5. The photos from Luisa and matches are also samples, sometimes from the show, so are not necessarily anything like what ends up in stores.

Jdemotion, are the frayed edge jeans skinnier than the SS14 and AW14 raw jeans? I found both of those too loose, and much prefer the AW13 versions, but would like to buy these if they're a bit skinnier. Also do they actually come with a frayed edge, or was that just for the show. Thank you.

Will be ebaying several other items over the next few days, including a classic black hooded top with grosgrain trim in size medium, brand new with tags (one of the ones from older seasons, which are shorter in length and much slimmer in fit than the ones from this current season which are long and big). £300 shipped. Contact me for pics if you're interested please.

  7. Just wear them and they'll soften up. If you're going to hem them, make sure you wear them first as they get a little shorter from creasing behind the knee (might also be wise to wash them before hemming, as depending on how you wash / dry, they might also lose some length that way. If you're not going to hem them, then I'd just start wearing them and wash them as infrequently as possible.
