i'll be in nyc from 12/5 to 12/13. planning on finding a place through airbnb.

if anyone wants to give me the low down on rooftop bars with a great view, menswear stores, hole in the wall places to eat.

basically anything would help. thanks guys.

Three more months til I'm 21 haha. I appreciate the suggestions though.

i'd recommend blue star doughnuts for sure. it's right next to lardo. 

 

also, the pastrami is A++ at K&Z but if you've got the time/desire, def try the thanksgiving sandwich. 

I had the pastrami last time I was there. So good. I might be able to hit K&Z twice. 

I'll probably skip Gruner, tbh. Looks like it might be a bit too formal and I'm going to be going solo. 

I'll be in Portland later this month for two days, one night. Staying at the Ace Hotel again.

I want a new fragrance for the new year and have heard nothing but great things about CDG. Only problem is there are so many to choose from. Wonderwood seems to be a favorite. Anyone willing to order a top five with a quick breakdown? I'm looking for something I can wear year-round, nothing too strong.

This might be a little late for you, but if you're staying at the Ace, Tasty and Alder for breakfast, Lardo for lunch and Gruner for dinner are the 3-block max best spots for sure.  Heavy hitters on all of those menus if you like meat, butter, and cheese.

Yeah, I left on Tuesday night but I appreciate the suggestions and I'll definitely give those places a try next time (hopefully soon).

I'll be in Chi first week of Oct. More than likely staying in the Lakeview area. Any recommendations for bars, restaurants, must eats/sees in general? I'll be going with a good sized group so trying to get as many ideas as possible.

I heard Longman and Eagle is damn good. If you want to do a little shopping, Haberdashmen and Apartment Number 9 are worth a look.
