  1. Just received my ONI 02517HOX sulfur dyed Type II jacket!

First impression after half a week:

-Very rigid but still light (specially when compared to my other jacket - IH rider's jacket). I think it's the perfect weight for Spring/Summer months...

-Construction seems to be good. Well, let's see how it's holding on in the future.

-Fit is great, even if kinda strange at first: shoulders/length/everything is really great but the arms are pretty tight (an I don't have big ones...). I was hesitating between keeping it or sizing up. I will try to wear it this way and see if it will stretch a bit...It's good anyway when I have only a T-shirt underneath.

All in all, pretty happy with my first ONI purchase. Can't wait to see how it will age/hold/fade!

  2. A quick update on my Iron Heart Riders jacket:

Loving this jacket! Tough to see some evo on this one but some nice blue shades are coming up! Looks promising to me and i can't wait to see it in few months/years!

And for VivaMarlon, thanks for the compliment! I will try to take more pictures when the light will be good (kind hard for now as it's rainy most of the days)

  3. So, here is the answer:

"Our Jeans are made in Okinawa, Japan, & are made from 15 oz Dry Denim.
The jeans waist will shrink to the size indicated on the label, so a size 32 will become a 32 inch waist pair of jeans.

I have worn my own pair (Regular fit type) for 6 months, & haven't found them to stretch.
I find that they fit in a similar way to Levis 501 in regard to sizing, as 32 is my size in ours & Levis."

So I guess all the measurements on their website are post wash measurements. Now, considering my waist size is a 31, I have to choose between a 32 and boiling them to shrink them enough (but could damage the leather pocket lining and patch...) or taking a 30 and try to stretch them enough to be comfortable... Well, always the same with sizing dilemma...

  4. Thanks Unders, I've just sent them an email... I will post all the informations here too, just in case anybody needs them.

If I ever grab a pair, I will post pics here, don't worry mate. Not really sure for now as my closet is pretty full from now on, but still... They look rather nice, so I'm kind tempted....

  5. Hey guys,

Was planning getting a new pair of raw... And was thinking about some of those Lewis Leather raw. I'm just wondering how to size on those (don't know if they're OW, sanforized,...).

They look pretty cool, plus I'm getting a bit bored to have to repair my pocket lining every month of wear or so, so the leather pocket lining could be a great trick.

    Thanks for your help!

  6. Guthriegking,

Sorry mate, had to leave for work so couldn't help you at all on this one. But to me they look just fine. Hopefully, the waist will stretch a fair bit and the thighs to a certain extand too.... That was nearly the fit I had on those before starting breaking them. To me it's a nice slim fit that you got here!

  7. guthriegking,

I own both in 32 too. I don't have the measurements right now but will try to take them later. From my point of view, the 883s are much tighter pretty much everywhere but the waist compared to the Greasers. Plus, they don't stretch much (wearing them for few months now...). That said, I really dig the slimmer fit of the Eternal, plus the denim is amazing.

  8. Not enough time spent in all of my pairs so here is my top 3 so far:

     1) Sams S5000VX 21oz: just love the denim texture, the cut is perfect (not too baggy and not slim, perfectly straight) and they fade so nicely... Traveled a lot in those too so maybe also an emotional value in those as well!

    2) Denime 66XX (New ones): A slimmer cut than the Sams, but not slim either. Their fading potential seems to be great (and fast). Really wanna see those ones in few months.

    3) Sugarcane Okinawa: kind in love with them! The denim is so unique, love its color, the cut is relaxed and comfy, the patch is amazing,... All in all a great all around pair of jeans.

Could also have put the Left Field Greasers 23oz as I like the cut, denim is impressive, love the details (such as the bandana pocket bags...) but I didn't spend much time in those so still waiting for evo on those!

Next ones on the want list: Warehouse and Resolute 710!

  9. Hi guys,

Here are the last pictures of my 66XX as the light wasn't so bad today. LOving more more the touch of this denim!

Not much evo as I'm rotating those with Left Field greasers 23oz and full count 1109. But realy like the cut and material on those ones

  10. Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has ordered a Samurai for his girlfriend or mother... I'm trying to figure out how does the GA0510LXX II Ladies Model is stretching as my mom is 29 in her best fitted jeans and size 0 is 28.5 and size 1 is 29.5... I'm guessing size 0 shoud be fine as they're one wash but just want to be sure before oredering.... By the way, all the other measurement should be fine.

    Thanks!

  11. Well, just measured mine. Tag size is 32 and after few months with several washes, they're 33". I think I could have size down one as ColdStorage and Pojectp said, but I still do love the fit I have with those. And I do also agree with Cold on the drying method as mine did the same as his ones (actual size above tag size) with the same drying (hang dry). So yeah, probably more a question about the fit you want in those ones.

  12. Naniwa,

I got a S5000VX 21oz TTS in 32. In my opinion, TTS is great if you plan to wash it often (which is my case as I'm not a really huge fan of very contrasted fades...) and if you also like a more relaxed fit. If you plan on keeping them for a long time without touching water, I think you could size down one because those stretch a bit (will try to measure them later today...).

Hope this helps, even if I'm sure that someone over here will have more accurate advice on how to size them (and if you look at the 1st page of this topics, there's a sizing guide pretty usefull ^_^  )
