  1. I just wanted to feedback from my question a few days ago about rough rinse 501s. Well, I found some dry scraped 1954 that were half price, and I could not find any details about what they really were. So anyway, I bought them, as a cheaper alternative to raw. They have been washed once, and made in the US. They are unfortunately faded slightly in certain areas, but the fabric and how they feel is wonderful. I am not from the US so a patriotic reason to but made in US was not for me. I still bought US ones, and I am glad I did. Somehow I think that products that relate to a country should be made there. And its good to help local workers.

I jsut wanted to post this because answers to my earlier posting about 501s helped me to buy the ones I have now. Thanks to you all.

I wish it were not so complicated. You cannot imagine how may hours I have spent simply trying to buy a pair of decent comfortable work trousers.

  2. After having done more research, I realised that the rough rinse jeans are not made in the US, but for everything else it seems they are the same. Are there any other differences? And if they are not made in the US, is this important for the use of the jeans?

(whoops, I have jsut realised that others have already responded with this information)

    Thanks for the responses, John

  3. I am not sure where to post this, or where to find the answer, but here goes...

I am interested in buying 501 1947 XX and I noticed that there are two versions out there; raw and rough rinse. Tje description of the rough rinse says that its been washed once, and that the details are the same as the raw. However, the price difference is significant to point to other differences as well. Can someone help me by answering, or pointing me in the direction of an answer already out there that helps me to decide which I should go for?

    Many thanks,

    John
