  1. Kind of shit the bed on getting mine shipped out. Could have done it to weeks ago but just kept putting it aside, regardless sent it out after work today should arrive at it's destination next week.

Above package it killer as well. Looks like Some solid reading.

  2. of course, i just thought that most were like "i aint washing these until one year"

I wash them when they are dirty. but for now i just let them hang outside every now and then.

I wouldn't say most. I know a couple people are really into the whole not washing thing the majority of us are fine with the denim hitting water. So far I have washed mine twice it's not really a big deal.

  3. Hey guys just checking in again it's been pretty busy in calgary. As noodle said we have had some pretty crazy floods and a good portion of our downtown core along with many communities along the river are underwater. A few of my cousins have been evacuated and will need some help dealing with damages once the water goes down and we have some family from the town, high river, south of calgary that are staying at my parents right now as 90% of the housing there is flooded.

It's a pretty crazy situation, roads that I normally drive to work are closed, a large portion of shops outside of the flooding don't have staff available to work as they can't travel over the river, and downtown is empty and feels like a ghost town. The good news though is that the city handled the situation really well. People for the most part had a days notice so they were able to evacuate safely. We had all the canadian armed forces that were posted in Alberta come in and help, about 1200 troops,  and emergency services have actually had to turn people trying to help away as there were to many volunteers. Groups have also started being organized through social media and other mediums so that when the area is clear we can get everyone down to the damaged areas to help clean up and get people back into their houses. No recorded deaths or major injuries, no reported looting or vandalism either just lots of property damage and displaced people.

Thanks for the support and concern guys.

  4. Just bought some SG1105ex of rakuten. Kind of disappointing knowing that they will be getting next to no wear for the next year and a half. Still it's always good to have a pair of fresh raws to wear when the beat to shit ones are not appropriate. Also internet is up and running in the new house going to try and get some detail pics up for you guys in the next week or so.

  5. Washed my Samurais for the first time the other day. They Shrunk a bit more as I put them In the washing machine with hot water and now my hips are getting a touch of bruising. That being said they fit perfectly now and the stacks arround the ankles have really developed well over the past couple days. Will upload pics when I get a chance.

My challenge entry will not be up till the last possible moment as I'm going to have to be up in edmonton to get the pictures.

  6. Got my 710s back from the tailor, hemmed and tapered. Tailoring work was pretty poor. Was told they would be taken in on the inseam, but they're actually on the outseam/selvedge edge. The stitching also come out half way up on my thigh on one side...-.-. Hem stitching isn't even straight...Oh well, lesson learned. Overall though, I'm happy with how they turned out. 37" inseam was too long on my 5'7" body lol. Fits better tapered as well. I can fix the stitching myself, so all good.

That's rough man. I have a girl in town that does all the work on my jeans and an excellent job at that. Finding a good tailor is huge. Hopefully the fix on the stitching is easy enough.
