I have heard something like that as well. I noticed that the measurements on the FIL Store also downsized. But it was only the case for the Giza version, however the normal chinos still maintained the same measurements as previous seasons...

I have to agree that Visvim is getting pretty expensive nowadays, add to the fact that the economy is experiencing a slowdown so people are more cautious on what they spend on. But I think at least for me and my friends we already have most of the silhouettes we want from Visvim, of course there are still others we are looking to get but they usually sell out too fast and we are not really willing to pay resellers' pricing.
Aside from that, I have a question. I recently bought a Visvim Slim Chino from the new season. I wear size 1 for all my high/higher water chinos and chino shorts, and also W30 for Social Sculpture. But I could barely button the Slim Chino full, I literally have to fight with the pants to get it buttoned up. The thigh areas are also very tight. Other than that the length is perfect and cutting below the knee is good. I'm wondering if I should sell this pair and get a size 2 (or continue wearing it and hope that it stretches), but I am worried it would be too big or long (since I don't plan to fold it, that would defeat the purpose of high water. I'm also avoiding the tailor if possible).
Any opinions?

I have a question for the peeps in here. Recently I had a business trip to China and wore my Brigadier boots, the light brown leather one from 14 F/W. Someone spilled peanut soup on one of my boots, I cleaned up as much as I can while I was there. It's been quite some time since I came back and the stain is still visible on it. I googled for solutions and tried wetting that part up and pouring talcum powder on it but it didn't work. Anyone here have any suggestions? The darkened part of the shoe in the photo below is the stain. It is a lot more visible in real life.

I'm generally a US10.5, but I have a wide foot and high instep. It sounds like you may be in a similar position.
Since US10.5 seems to be nearly impossible to find, I've had to read message boards (here and at FUK) to make an informed decision. I've successfully sized DOWN to a US10 in the '73-Folk and Grizzly and UP to a US11 in the Virgil, Armiger, and Brigadier.
My Brigadiers are the 14AW in Navy (black sole), and they seem to fit exactly the same as my Virgils, even accounting for the more supple leather (my Virgils are Bison).
This has been my experience. I hope it's helpful to you.
Thanks for the help! My patrician is size 9.5 and I'm size 9 for Grizzly as well. So it seems that I would need a size 10 for Brigadier.

This is most likely a wasted effort but WTB 2013 A/W Brigadier Boots in Lt.Brown from 13 A/W or was it S/S. Size 10, hit me up with offers. Will take a look at all regardless of condition.

I have a question... I wear size 10 for Virgils (although my true size is 9.5 but the body of Virgils is too thing for me so I had to up 0.5 size). I am planning to get a pair of Brigadier Boots, I heard from some people to stay the same to my Virgil sizing. Should I just get same to my Virgil sizing or get my true size? Also, I heard that the leather and suede versions have differences in size as well?

Recently got myself a PFD 2.5L and its hella big, even with layering it is still considerably long especially the sleeves. Are the fitting of all PFDs that big because I'm planning to get another one in 3L eventually. Do you guys downsize or what?
