  1. Picked up a new scent in Paris last month - Gaiac by Micallef; it's a scent for men but definitely very unisex. Really nice wood scent; smells awesome on me and the boyfriend both.

I have a half bottle of Diptyque Vetyveiro and Tam Dao (about 20 ml left in each), if anyone's interested in taking them for $30 shipped each. The dry down on me has completely changed and they no longer work on me. They are the old (better looking imo) bottles.

Also really getting into leathers... contemplating Keiko Mecheri's Cuir Cordoba or Majda Bekkali's J'ai fait un reve - elle.

  2. If any girls are reading, there are some boutiques in Shanghai, near Jing'an that sell real designer shit but with the tags cut out at price points that are 75% off retail (based on US retail). Acne dress at like 800 rmb. DVN top for 400 RMB. Prices vary with no real pattern. Last time I checked, there was a sick sick 3.1 top with insane details for 1000, not that wearable but cool. Current season, new stock every other week or so. Probably stolen from the factory lines, but usually will have a range of sizes (with US 6 being the biggest, usually).

Also, Jade Garden for the best Shanghainese food, in my opinion.

  3. My scent preferences are at, one the one hand, the masculine end for woodsy scents (Diptyque Tamdao and Vetyverio) and on the other hand, the feminine end for really floral scents (Jasmin and Gardenia, mostly white florals, I used to wear Marc Jacobs, which is a great gardenia, actually).

I am ready for a new scent though, any recommendations along those lines?
