  1. ^ the pictures i just posted are the 15oz nisshinbo denim. they never made chelseas out of the 15oz. your nisshinbo chelseas should be left hand twill. (denim looks like \\\\\\\\\\) if so, they are 13oz.

thanks, yeah, thats what i was thinking. also, right after i posted about sizing down on my pair, of course the button fucking pops off. 5 months in, not bad. and completely my fault. these jeans are pretty tough. wonder if i email christian if i could buy another button.

  2. yes@the hair.

btw, is there any consensus on the weight of the chelsea nisshinbos from the previous run (bought in sept 2012) is? i keep hearing 15oz, but they really dont seem anywhere near that heavy. i dunno, havent paid attention. just been wearing 'em.

  3. nice satchel..

i hear you about not going for the same jean twice, but i think with the nisshinbos, its totally worth it. especially since theyre in their last run.

i usually wear a size 30, but i went 29 with these. when i they were snug, but i could still button them up all of the way. but youre right. they dont stretch much, which is a good thing, imo. but it really only took a few days for them to fit perfect.

*mine were the chelseas from the last run.

  4. so if im an actual waist size of 29, id want to go tag size 27 on a pair of stantons? im currently in a pair of left fields tts 29s that havent stretched much at all and theyre perfect. the sizing is whats kept me from rt in the past. i can not stand saggy stretched out butt jeans, and think they look especially bad on the stantons.

here are the measurements on the lf's..

    actual waist: 29"

    front rise: 10"

    thigh: 10.75"

    knee: 7.75"

    leg opening: 6.75"

    inseam: 37"

and the stantons in size 27..

    TAG SIZE 27: WB:14.5 FRONT RISE: 9.5 BACK RISE:14.25 UPPER THIGH:10 KNEE:7 HEM:6.5

i picture these to be significantly slimmer?

  5. LOL!

those broken teeth dudes in uk burried a pair of edwins in the forest earlier this year, for 6 months.. i havent seen any updates tho..

you should email edwin for a refund..

  6. thats awsome advertisement though.. those greasers ruled at 6 months.. but, yah, the chelsea fit is amazing.. hopefully the lf store gets updated/restocked.. would love to get one of those flannels in for fall..

  7. also, for whatever its worth.. the nisshinbo denim doesnt seem this way at first, but after a little wear (just a few days) is pretty hairy.. awsome.. love it.. i dunno, just thought id throw that out, since lf is pretty under the radar, besides for satchels updates and the wellspent dude.. i know the w.o.'s are sold in a lot of menswear choo choo train guy type stores.. my friend works at one, but he couldnt tell you anything about the jean except that its made of white oak cone mills in slim tapered and slim straight.. also, seems like these things are probably pretty fast faders..

  8. My friend Daniel's beat up red weft selvedge jeans... I do like how the red weft yarns poke through at the tears! "Over a year of wear and a few washes." he says.

youre the biggest fan boy ever.. keep neggin' me and posting up in n&f threads.. maybe svarc will slap you high five in his polka dot bow tie at a karmaloop instore..

  9. i think the nisshinbo denim is 15? side: the hidden rivets are killing it on these chelsea jeans.. just a week or so in and these show some really cool/unique wear to them already.. lf nyc is the truth.. ill get some shots in soon..

  10. the 100's and 0101's are waaaaaay too skinny.. i had to retire them.. i wonder what they new cut they replaced those models with is like.. all ive heard is that theyre supposed to be more tapered.. so tighter? i really hope not..

i figured theyd be similiar to n&f skinny guy, which is what ive read all over here.. theyre not.. theyre way skinnier than any skinny guy ive ever owned..

sucks, because this is really a great jean.. hard as shit to get fades going, and the construction is insane.. but its also good, im out of the skinny game all togather now.. time to move on.. ive got a pair of left field chelsea jeans en route..

about the phone fades, i dunno, but i had a cigarette pack fade starting up on my 0101's..

  11. woah thanks for the compliments there jus schilling !

i totally forgot the exact time, i soaked them first after 6months or so.

dont think too much about it, just wear em hard ;)

btw if youre looking for the whiskers u should upsize it. i accidentally choose a bigger size lol

nice, dude.. yeah, im not too crazy about the exact time i soak/wash either.. i only asked because they look like they got lots of life yet, not crazy damaged or worn, but cool fades/color.. you should keep rocking those/keep us updated!
