  1. Quick one...

Just got a pair of N&F Slim Guys, left hand twill. They fit great! Big thanks to Alex at Tate & Yoko.

Anyway I just need them hemmed (I'm a 30 inch inseam in every pair of jeans I own.)

So do I (1) get them hemmed right away

    (2) break them in by wearing them then hem them

    (3) do some sort of soak or wash then hem -- don't really want to do this

I'm thinking just hem them now to about 31 or 32 inches and let the eventual shrinkage bring them on down. Thoughts?

  2. maybe youre measuring wrong then? where normally if youre measuring your quads youd measure it half way or lower down your thigh but for jeans they measure right at the crotch

if you can try them on in person that would be best

You are correct....I measured wrong. I believe I may buy 2-3 pairs from Tate&Yoko and return the ones that don't work. Thank you for your help.

  3. You'd fit the skin guys fine. You don't have muscular legs, I have a 31" waist and 23" thighs. You probably just have a huge butt which makes it hard to pull over giving the illusion of big thighs

Haha..my striated vastus lateralis is insulted. I'm 5'7", a lean 175 and can squat 350 for reps (beyond parallel.) So yes, I do have muscular legs. Actually wish my ass was bigger. I think I'd look like a wanker in the skinny guys.

  4. You should be fine in a 34" slim guy. I am an inch bigger in the waist and one and a half bigger in the thigh and my 36" Left Hand Twills stretched out a lot. If you stay with their lighter denim you should be fine.

Thanks so much for the response. Much appreciated.

  5. Quick fit question from a new guy:

Looking at either N&F Slim Guy or Regular Guy.

Me: somewhat muscular legs, actual waist measurement 35", thighs are a little over 21'' around.

I like the look of the slim guy but there's more thigh room in the regular guy. Recommended size/style?

    Many thanks!
