I'm thinking about sizing to a 29 to avoid the stretch so I end up with the above fit.
I would stick with a size 30 if i were you. a 29 would probably be too tight on your calves, knees, and thighs and you would be uncomfortable for a few months. the waist is the only part that really stretches significantly, along with a little bit of stretching in the thighs. wear a belt and you'll be fine, or do a warm soak whenever you think the fit is getting too loose. try on a 29 and see if you can handle it first.

i think these elephant 2's are bruising my hip bones is that normal?
honestly if you aren't comfortable with how your jeans fit, you should probably just size up. you shouldn't make a decision based solely off of what you see on a forum, especially if you disagree with the general opinion. if you're worried about stretching at the waist, you can wear a belt to limit some of the stretching

but yeah.. salted about the revivals.. and not that id recommend anyone buying raw from any bs blipster fashion mill sites like kloop.. the hemps are like a bill on there right now.. only giving heads up, cause jays available sizes are slim pickings, if theyre not sold out completely.. and kloop had a bunch of sizes up, when i checked yesterday.. in fact, they got a lot of n&f on sale right now.. for super cheap?
good call. they've got 33% off deep indigos, natural revivals, and hemp blends all in skinny guys. and some of the shirts are only $80

Somehow 'just try a pair on' on my way home ended up with me buying a pair of New Standards - sz35. To be fair, they were 30% off! Anyone comment on how much waist stretch I can expect? They're snug right now, but not considerably.
Wondering more out of interest - size 34 were too small on my thighs and neither store I went to had a 36

if a size 34 was too small on your thighs, a 35 should fit you just fine. the waist stretches out the most, but you can limit the stretching by wearing a belt. as to how much they will stretch, it depends on how long and how hard you wear them, but they will most likely stretch to a comfortable size
