  1. I always assumed Paypal offered good buyer protection, wondering what they will do in this case.
You are brave to give j-subculture a try as there are some not so positive shopping experiences posted online about them... ;)

  2. ^ Nice write up, hopefully Australia Post will locate your parcel soon.

How long has it been since it got lost?

Is there any compensation you can claim in this situation?

  4. The range of products that TFH makes does make them a pretty incredible company.

I was just not sure if that's how they intended to stitch their pocket bags together on their jeans, turns out it's really more like a harmless defect I guess.

All jokes aside, I am pretty sure it's not caused by the weight of the denim but rather just a sloppy job.

Both pockets have that messy finish.

I checked my 20oz 2111 and it's even more obvious, seems like they simply didn't bother to trim off the excess fabric.

My Eternal 883 is showing a bit of that sloppy finish as well, but that's not surprising because Eternal is not really particular about their clothes.

  5. Appreciate the quick response with a pic!

Maybe my pair was made by a different worker who's not so particular about the construction...

Don't get me wrong, I still like my flat head jeans, the raised belt loops and back pocket rims are all good details, just thought that messy finish was a bit odd...

Would be really interested to see what other owners' pairs look like?

  6. Hi The Flat Head owners, I've been wanting to post this question here for ages.

I've noticed that the finishing on the inside of the front pocket bag is rather "messy", just wondering if this is a common occurrence across all their jeans?

Just thought that it looks a bit odd since they are "particular" about their clothes but in this case it looks a bit lazy.

For comparison I've checked this part on all my other jeans and they all have a nice and clean finish.

  7. Does anyone the names of the farmers who watered the cotton plants and exactly how much water and sunlight the plants were exposed too?

So I was trying to have a genuine discussion on denim related topics since Samurai is charging a premium for it and yet there is this sort of response from this ass wipe.

guess the only acceptable posts these days are sizing questions, fit pics and where to cop?

Thanks to those that have attempted to contribute.

  8. ^so far nobody here should have touched or seen the denims. As organic does just say something about how the cotton is grown, not how the denim is made. The cotton itself should not  behave or feel different from normal cotton.

Thanks for the reply, but I am just wondering if the organic grown cotton has a long staple or short staple, which will affect the texture or hand feel of the denim itself.

  9. Does anyone know what's the difference with denim fabric made from organic cotton?

Will it be more rigid or will it be soft like Zimbabwe cotton?

    Appreciate any input on this.

  10. Hi, does anyone have information on the cotton used in Studio D'artisan's SD-10x jeans? eg. 101, 103, 107?

Most sites seem to just say 15oz 100% cotton, but is it Zimbabwe cotton?

Just wondering as SDA jeans are known to fade slow and if this is due to the cotton used?

  11. post 60c wash (2nd wash)...

    to cont.

Hi ThinFinn, nice progress on the 400T, how would you compare it with your Joe McCoy 991XH in terms of the fit and denim texture?

I thought the fit of your 991XH was as good as a pair of jeans can be, but surprisingly you don't seem to wear it much?

  12. Wow... that is dedication right there...

Considering that you wore them right out of the shower, it's amazing how the creases have lined up exactly as they were before the wash! I thought they would have been messed up a bit from wearing them wet.

Any chance you could show us some nice front and back fit pics?

  13. You guys may be right about the starching, for some reason I was thinking of starch as in stuff you use when ironing clothes.  But from when I saw the jeans being made the denim seemed pretty loose and flexible, and not as hard as a fresh pair of FH jeans.  I'll ask about it next week.

That's exactly what I meant, the jeans in your photos don't look as stiff as finished products, i.e. they don't look like they can "stand" on their own, so something must have been applied to them afterwards to "harden" them?
