  1. I just purchased the Oni 622Aizumi from Denimio. Raw in a size 32, which is one size down from the Oni 517xx that I've worn for the last two years. The 517xx fit a little on the large side in the waist, but great in the thighs.

What do you guys think about the 622Aizumi fit pre-soak? I'm worried that they're too big, particularly in the waist. There is about 2" of extra fabric at the moment (pre-soak) and it's also bunching around the crotch. Perhaps this cut isn't for me?

  2. Just picked up this shirt. It is completely new - never been washed. The fabric is simply too heavy for 11 months out of the year in Austin, Texas. Sold out in this size forever. Not trying to make money, just trying to get what I paid (http://www.okayamadenim.com/collections/momotaro-jeans/products/od-mj-indigo-sashiko-shirt?variant=2418795076).

    ----
Limited to 55 pieces - produced exclusively for Okayama Denim by Momotaro Jeans

    Japanese Indigo Dyed Sashiko fabric
    Slim fit silhouette
    Oxford style construction
    100% cotton
Oversized Matte white buttons with red accent stitching
Dual Chainstitch run off on the side vents

Applying a fabric with a rich history in Japanese culture to this piece, known as Sashiko (刺ã—å, directly translates as 'little stabs'), the indigo dyed cotton base of the fabric has undyed white cotton yarns running in parallel lines throughout. Sashiko was historically a sewing technique used to repair well worn sections of traditional kimonos and workwear, but early on was adopted as a way of also decorating patterns on garments.

Featuring details like Oversized matte finish white buttons with red accent stitching, chainstitch seam construction with the run offs on either side vent, and an updated silhouette with a slightly longer torso than a traditional Oxford shirt.

While we have kept the production lots as small as possible because working with this specific fabric for shirting is not easy, this will be the last of this style as we no longer have fabric capacity to produce more. While the first production lot was 28 pieces, we were to produce 27 pieces of this second and final run. Thus, this style is limited to 55 total pieces ever produced.

  3. Just picked up a brand new pair of Samurai S003JP (with tags) but I believe I need to size up one to account for the shrink factor in unsanforized denim. I bought these from a Japanese company and returning them would be cost-prohibitive, so trying to sell them.

I've bought and sold a lot here, on StyleForum, and have a good rep on eBay.

Measurements, photos and more can be found on BlueInGreen's website

    Asking $230 + Shipping.

  4. Just picked up a pair of S003JP. I'm curious, these are my first Samurai's and I'm not too sure what to expect when I soak them. Right now I tried them on for all of 5 minutes and found that they fit great, but if they shrink a lot when soaked I'm worried they'll be too tight around my thighs. As is, they really can't shrink any in the thigh department. Any recommendations?

  5. I'm looking for a recommendation for some new denim.

Currently I own Momotaro 0702, 0702 and BOM006-T. I love them all, but the BOM006-T is my favorite fit - slightly tapered denim and I love the dark blue weft/warp.

I owned a pair of strike golds which I liked, but they didn't fit my body very well (larger thighs and smaller waist).

I'm looking for a medium weight denim - I live in Texas, so the heavy weight denims are pretty uncomfortable 85% of the year.

Poking around online, the Samuari S003JP peaks my interest. Also interested in perhaps a PBJ, Iron Heart, Flat Head, etc. What would you suggest for something unique and high quality and under $400 USD?

  6. I just got word that my pair of Alden x Leffot #8 LWBs (Barrie Last) with antique sole edge are being shipped. Unfortunately I also just found out that I am off to business school and will soon be eating a steady diet of Top Ramen and Kraft Mac and Cheese. So, I'm going to have to toss these shoes up on the market (let's face it, $690 can feed me for a year with that diet).

I got them 9/12 and I must say that they're freaking gorgeous. The both have the "Horween" stamp on the sole of each shoe. I really wish I could keep them, but I have other expenses that need to take priority right now.

They're brand new, never been worn or even tried on. I'll eat the cost for shipping in CONUS and am asking $690. Get them brand new, below cost, in a sold out size.

    SOLD

I also have a new pair of Alden LHS in brown chromexcel on the Van last. I have worn these three times total, not joking. Twice to the office and once on a flight. No scratches or scuffs. Minimal wear on the soles. Just starting to see some rolls/creasing from the few times I wore them. These are the perfect casual shoes. I will consider trades for the LHS. Asking $450. That's $80 less than retail.

  7. Mark McNairy Dirty Bucks

I'm doing a bit of closet cleaning and I'm looking to sell my Mark McNairy Dirty Bucks because they are a half size too big. They're in great shape overall. I keep them clean with Saphir suede care products.

The only negative I can think of is that the suede is a bit of a blue hue around the top of the heel where my denim rubs (see photos). The soles are in great shape overall. Just a little wear around the back right of the soles.

    Size 8UK which is approximately a 9US.

Asking $175 $160 $145 $130. Will also consider trades for button downs, wallets, belts, or shoes. They're still on McNairy's website for $385 (http://shop.markmcnairy.com/collections/all/products/squeaky-clean-dirty-buck).

  8. Anyone have any experience with how much the 2109s shrink? I just got a pair in with a 32 waist. There is about a 3" gap between my waist and the jean. I'm a bit afraid that if I go down to a 31 that my thighs might not fit, but this fit in the top block is way too loose. Looks awful when I wear a belt with it because the fabric is buckling.

  9. Alright folks. Looking to snag a new slim fitting jean. I love my Momotaro 0701, but I think it's time to add another to my arsenal. I like the weight of the 0701 (15.7oz), but interested in getting something a hair heavier. I'm fairly short - 5'6" about 155lbs. Pretty thick legs though - I had to size up one to a 32 on the 0701 to fit my thighs.

I was thinking either an Ironheart 666od or Beatle Buster; from Flathead I was looking at the F2001; from Strike Gold I was looking at the SG2109 (love the mud weft); and, finally, from Samurai I was looking at the S710XX or the s003jp yamato.

    any suggestions?

  10. Been thinking about picking up a Samurai jean. I want something slim fitting like my Momotaro 0701. I was considering either the S710XX or S003JP Yamato. Any suggestions?

  11. Thinking about picking up an Iron Heart jean. I like a slim fit jean like my Momotaro 0701. What do people think of the 666 or the Beatle Buster? Measurements on the SelfEdge site make the 666 seem like they are not as slim, is that right?
