Why don't like top-siders (#35551) so much?

(no claims, asking because want to know, what did wrong)

Thinking about buying Japan Blue x Momotaro (0700SP probably). But I can't choose the size, I have Levi's W32 (in fact my waist is about 31,5''). Which Momotaro size will be good for me: 30 or 32? Different sites give different sizing, some say that 32 size = 32", some that 32 size = 34".

Also on some pics they looks like jeans with high rise, is it true?
