If you guys will forgive a small plug, I'm selling a Petar Petrov knit that would go perfectly with a tech wardrobe
Back to the thread, though, I need to find a replacement for it.
I've been looking at some of the following:
Matthew Miller Schoeller tech sweater
~
SILENT DD Tuga sweater
The first seems really cool in concept but might be a bit too boxy for me. At the same time, though, I've tried the SILENT piece on and since the armholes are cut really low layering on top might be a problem (although the cropped cut, arm silhouette, and wide neck are super cool)
Any other recommendations?
I'll grab a fitpic of my MM Schoeller pull over tomorrow. It's not so much boxy as it is drapey, it fits nicely in the shoulders and sleeves and just has some drapeyness to the back end of it. I usually wear it over a tee or my thin SNS knit and it layers wonderfully and fills out with a thin knit. Be forewarned, the neck hole is ridiculously small.

I tried on a Leaf Naga the other day, it's an unbelievably tight fit and a super super comfortable baselayer. I'm thinking of looking into the un-hooded version of it. Though for now I can't stop staring at the Stone Island Shadow Project quilted baselayer and other such things I can't afford after a recent stop at the Arc'teryx factory store.
I'm looking for two bits of advice from this thread, if anyone can help me out. Has anyone seen the SISP cardigan from F/W13 floating around in a small? I can only find a large left in stock anywhere. Also, I'd love to find a good technical belt that isn't juts on a sliding adjustable thing designed for large people, I'm super small and those can't even come close to fitting me without almost being able to wrap around me twice.
I'd look into Cobra belts, SOE makes custom fit belts ranging from EDC belts to Riggers Belts. They are reasonably priced and have a good reputation in the tactical communities. They are kind of like set it and forget it, and use a very reliable buckle.

So in the very last photo on the site @inkinsurgent posted the link to it looks like we're going to be getting some Veilance knit tops for SS14.
Does anyone have any experience with their knits in the past? I've never tried one on and just from this teaser photo I'm pretty interested.
I have the Graph and it has an awesome merino/nylon blend that has held up incredibly well, it sees a ton of wear. No pilling and it feels very durable.

Does anyone have any experience with Sympatex? How similar is it to Goretex, seems like the exact same laminate structure. They also offer quite a thorough explanation of their testing processes.
Taken from their site: http://www.sympatex.com/en/index
Lovers of the great outdoors have high demands for their clothing. It must keep their body dry whilst controlled the body temperature perfectly in all weathers and regardless of activity level.
The best way of assuring comfort and perfect protection from the weather is with the “onion systemâ€, which involves layers of different garments:
- A base layer with conductive, wicking properties
- Mid-layers with an insulating and heat-regulating function
- Top layers with a weather protection function (waterproof, breathable and windproof)
The outermost layer has the most demanding task: On the one hand it must allow sweat to escape whilst at the same time it must protect the body from wet and cold from the outside.
As one of the leading membrane specialists in the world, Sympatex concentrates fully on this outermost layer. With a membrane which is 100% waterproof, optimal breathable and 100% windproof.
In these core points the Sympatex membrane achieves performance values which are well above the levels required by the standard and therefore provides excellent protection and comfort for the wearer.
As far as environmental protection is concerned, as well, Sympatex is a pioneer with its 100% recyclable membrane. Top performance for man and nature.

The Siki Im articulated raw denim went on sale at SuspensionPoint so I picked up the last pair of 30s, figure they fit into this aesthetic pretty well. Double darted knee and hidden button, leather patch on right back pocket and a good taper. Other images wont load for me but here's the link; http://suspensionpoint.ca/siki-im-slim-denim-black-raw

thoughts on the composite jacket?
love the muted yellow. the only thing stopping me from buying is the fact that it's not waterproof.
might get the actuator in mauve or just wait for the upcoming season. there was a fw13 align jacket on sale at ssense... kicking myself for not buying it.
I've worn my composite in a downpour and it only wetted through once it was heavily saturated, even at that point it only wetted through on the seems between the stretch nylon and the windstop. It's definitely water resistant but not completely water proof.

Cross-posting from Veilance thread
Are there any other boots similar to the Diemme Vat or Danner Mountain Light III? Considerably narrow, preferably. I'm considering a pair of the Diemmes but I'm weary of how they'd pair with my Veilance gear as I primarily wear my Galvanic and usually black jeans/wool trousers or my Voronois. I really love the look of the Diemme x SI but just can't justify $750 at the moment, could stick it out till a sale pops up.

If anyone is after budget techwear, Levi's commuter line is on sale in stores (possibly online too). The commuter trousers have been improved significantly from the first iteration which I wasn't a huge fan of. They added more stretch, the fit is still 511 aka VERY slim, but feels more forgiving with the new stretch, a lot of the weird flashy details were stripped or colored more subtly and it looks more like a regular pant now. I dont remember the originals having this, but the bottom of the front pocket slits now have an elastic triangle that improves the stretch on the thighs and I'm assuming to prevent pocket flare.
Overall not bad and the price was ~$22 after tax. My cheap replacement for the Outlier Climbers.
They also had a "herringbone" version of the trouser in a 511 fit, but it was roomier, had more stretch because of the different material (88% cotton, 10% poly, 2% elastane), and looked pretty damn good.
---
Also stopped by Uniqlo to check out the 4-way jacket. Wasn't all that impressed with it and it had a cheap feel especially the liner and the face of the jacket (black version). However, I'd still consider it a pretty good budget buy if you need a nice warm jacket with a hood and light rain resistance.
On sale in stores only, at least only to that extent. $49 on the Levi's site

Okay, more Voronoi fit pics. I sized up to a 30 and I'm wearing them lower on my hips, they feel tenfold better and I lost that awkward look. Ignore the gym tee, trend going on?
