    Reminder.....

So at the end of the contest I will set up final submission threads on both Superfuture and the Iron Heart forum for those still competing to put forward their final set of pictures, plus any information regarding their jeans that they may feel is relevant.

After this I will do a full review of the contest threads to ensure that only people who have actually “competed”, by posting regular updates throughout the duration of the contest.

The final step will be to set up an email address for contestants (and only contestants) to submit their votes for the winner, I can verify this through my email list.

    The timescale will be….

    -          One month after end of contest to submit final pictures

    -          One month after final submissions for voting

    -          Up to one month (probably less) for vote counting and issuing of the final prize.

The prize pot will be awarded solely to the winner, no second or third prizes, and the pot stands at £703 (after deduction of Paypal transaction fees).

Good luck to all still playing,

    Mega

Can you take my last post from this thread as my final submission? I'm going to be off the grid for a couple months and they haven't changed much since then. Thank you.

  2. I sometimes think that people who wear Redwings for their intended work purposes are already laughing at all of us for spending hundreds, if not thousands of dollars replicating the workwear image while keeping desk jobs.

coming from someone who wears my Redwings daly, i'm more jealouse that you don't have to destroy your workwear everyday.

    my 899's

one pair at a year and a half, worn 40-60 hours a week

the other worn for 8 hours total, haha

  4. HC-SF-41IH 634-b This is my official submission for dirty pics. The dirt and dust had turned to mud a few too many times and they needed a wash. The ridges in the weave on my thighs were packed smooth, haha. Pics taken on a sunny day in the shade. 20130606_161013.jpg 20130606_161119.jpg 20130606_161358.jpg 20130606_161317.jpg

  5. I can't imagine how your patch could get so brutallyruined, let alone damaged so bad that it could not be rescued. You should have called 911! Could you share the gory details? Were there any zombies involved?

    No zombies unfortunately.

I build cement foundations. You have to vibrate the concrete to get it to consolidate properly once its in the form. It gets everywhere, and the person doing it ends up looking like a stucco wall afterwards. Usually its no big deal as once it dries the specks brush right off. The day it happened we were running 2 vibrators and I was in front. The spatter from the person behind me was all over my back, including the patch. It brushed off as usual, but the cement had sucked all the moisture out of the leather, discoloring, hardening and shrinking it.

I tried my best to save it and loosen it back up when I got home, but no success. Boot oil and obenauf's didn't help either. Finally I just pulled it off and pressed it between 2 pieces of metal. The results were less than satisfactory.
