  1. Gotta question. I'm a TTS 29, big thighs. I'm looking for a very slim borderline skinny look.

I tried the PS down one, and there was a lot of stress on the calves, waist, and thighs. I couldn't button the top. So pretty much, they were skinny jeans.

I also tried PS TTS, and they were a lot more breathable. I could button every button with relative ease. There was adequate space in the thighs. It was pretty much the ideal "slim borderline skinny look" I was pursuing.

Should I size down one and hope they stretch to the look that the TTS had? Or should I just go ahead and stick with the TTS and hope they don't stretch too much? Just wanna make sure I buy the right size before I spend $160+

Either get the TTS PS and wear a belt so the waist wont stretch too much, or, get NS sized down 2.

  2. maybe a size up on petit standard should work, that new cure does look good, did you hem them or are they unaltered.?

or you coudl to the ye olde new standard size down 4 from true waist and get a naer perfect 19cm fit.

NC are unaltered. I dont think sizing up on the PS would help because the drastic taper makes my legs looks smaller than they are.

  3. Got my NC in the mail today. This is my third pair of APCs (I know have all three fits) and I think I've finally found the right fit for me. Here are some comparison pictures.

New Standard (forgive tie and shirt please):

I think I've found the right cut and size for me. Its hard for me since I have such skinny legs. I like the slimness of the NC and the PS in the thigh but the PS's taper from the knee down is too drastic for my liking. It shows off my chicken legs. I think the NC is the most flattering without being too baggy all around like the NS.

    What do you all think?

  4. Comparison of my 26 PS to my 28 NS:

I know most here will disagree with me, but I like the TTS NS a lot more then the PS. Skinny guys like me can't pull off super tight jeans like the PS. Plus, the leg opening on the PS was really small, to the point of I couldn't get them off.

  5. curious why didn't you just sell them and get the NS?

I wore them for 2+ months hoping they'd stretch and in that time they faded a bit so context wouldn't accept them back.

  6. Whats the point.. why didn't you just get NS model.. smh

I didnt get the NS because I didn't know. Most people that are new to raw denim read up on them for several months before they make their purchase, as I did. I bought the PS and didnt like them but I allowed 2 months to see how they stretched and still did not like them. After 2 months I couldnt return them so instead of buying another pair of $200 jeans, I made these better.

SMH means nothing. You are saying that in slight disgust, however you dont realize the circumstances.

  7. I bought a pair of size 26 PS and hate them. They are way to tight and the leg opening is way to small. I brought them to a pretty good tailor in DC asked her to work her magic and do what ever she can to let them out as much as possible and to try to make them as least tapered as possible. She ended up using the extra material in the selvedge line to let them out. They fit perfect now, except I'd still like the leg opening to be 1/4-1/2" bigger, but thats not that huge of a deal. Some of my friends have told me I'm an idiot for messing with the selvedge line, but I'd rather it be a smaller selvedge line and it nicer, then have a nicer line with a worse fit. Here is a picture of the new selvedge line and let me know what you all think.

  8. Will ironing my 2 month old APC PS' damage them at all/will I get weird fading? I was thinking ironing might help the "knee boob" area go back to being flat. Thanks!

  9. does anyone have the chart which compares the size/fit of all the apc jeans?

i bought some NS in a 32 but they're too tight around the back and thighs (although lose on the waist).

i can get some PS in a 33 on the cheap, should i go for it or will i have the same problem?

    Context clothing has size charts.
