  1. I am currently having issues with seller: cse150m

He sold me his broken Macbook Pro listed here: http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?p=2854382#post2854382

I was told the repair would cost $280 but when I took it into the Apple store I got a quote of $700+. Upon his request, I made the payment via Google Checkout instead of what I preferred, Paypal. He first told me to ship back the laptop and I would be refunded my payment but I would have to cover the shipping AND Google fees. After some debating, he still does not agree that he should have to cover the shipping charges for the item being "not as described" as Paypal list it as.

With Google Checkout, there is what looks to be a very minimal type of claim center and what I may have to end up doing is filing for a chargeback on my credit card.

I just wanted to confirm, am I right to assume that I should not have to pay any shipping of handling fees associated with this return? I know if this were an Ebay/Paypal purchase I would be refunded as well as reimbursed for shipping.

I offered to cover the shipping costs to him, and the fees, but he would have to pay the shipping to return the item to me. Aside from that the Apple Store in Costa Mesa and Irvine Spectrum both took a look at it and diagnosed it as a logic board issue that they would fix for a flat fee of $280. This was the best that I could describe the item, as that was what they quoted me.

Even if you chargeback you will still have to return the item at your own shipping cost. Once again I've offered and answered every question to the best of my abilities and never misrepresented the item. If apple tells me they can fix it for $280, then the best information I can give you is to tell them what they quoted me.

I told you before hand specifically, "Aside from that I will let you return it, if you pay the return shipping costs, and my costs to ship the item, plus any fees related."

And now I'm even covering my shipping costs and any other related fees. For any retailer you would still be obliged to return the item, which you are still obliged to do if you are going to charge back the item. I think I'm being quite fair based on my terms.

^paypal as far as i'm concerned doesn't reimburse costs for sending it back. even with retailers you wouldn't find many if any at all who reimburses return costs.

i think a chargeback would be your best choice. though keep in mind you might piss google off.

I'm not asking for anything beyond paypal or any other retailer. The item was broken, I described what the Apple store mac genius bar diagnosed it to be, and their findings in the Palo Alto store differed with the stores I took it to. I have a printout, and a previous diagnosis and offer linked to the serial number, I never described the item incorrectly.

  2. They aren't even the distressed ones.

That exact model was on YOOX not long ago for around $350.

If it was it probably sold out within a day because I check yoox frequently.

They are hard to come by, and I challenge you to tell me currently where you can find them now for a cheaper price, I've seen them to for less than retail a year ago, but that doesn't say anything for their current availability. You will be limited to MMM boutiques in Paris or Munich, and will have to pay retail+shipping+customs. I bought my pair from the Munich store for $800 ish.

If it's too costly for you, you don't have to purchase them. If you can find these for less please do a public service and point us all in the direction of where they are currently available.

I personally prefer these to the distressed ones.

And since many people are posting here in regards to the price, I'd offer $700 to someone if they have this sneaker I'm Grey.
