  1. you are right swiss-jeansfreak , anyway, it depends on fitting and personal style also and same jeans can give different fading result when worn by different person. I usually paid 150-200 bucks for quality jeans not for a brand.

  2. definitely. but it is complicated, they might do some market research and end up with changing details to reach some point. Like you said, one day APC may launch campaign "Pin with logo still there" like "hidden rivet still there" on Levis

Don't think that's ridiculous at all. With jeans, it's always about the details, the small factors that make the difference against the gazillions of other jeans. So I think you're absolutely justified here. Particularly when paired with a price increase, I actually hope many customers will decide like you, so that the company will be forced to reconsider. Think of the unwiser changes Levi's made to their 501s, or, to name an example from a very different area, Coca-Cola changing the original recipe.

In one slogan: bring back the pin. Or we'll make you bring it back.

  3. just compared mine, about few years ago, with the new season in store. the button's and rivet material is a bit drop , from my feeling . the fabric is just the same.

Where's your evidence to support this?
  4. That's what I heard about vintage jeans also. I think so, vintage is nothing relate to heavy weight. I just want to know the real idea and real vintage style.

Back in those days, raw denim would just be 9 or 10 oz, 11 or perhaps 14 something at most after shrinkage. I don't believe heavyweight denim even existed at all before the vintage craze (and I personally find the whole idea ridiculous, but that's just an opinion... )
  5. let me guess, this time Sam will do something about Volcano dust or clay or hot spings in their dying ingredients. and will come out up to 7 sum model series.

Samurai will release a new jeans (ok..not that surprising) but they are very close-mouthed about that pair. The Kyushu-model.

    First "teasers" they released:
