A quick update.

Momotaro BOM001.

3 Months and fresh from 2nd wash.

They're really coming to life now. Love 'em!

*Please excuse the poor lighting...actually grey and overcast in L.A. today.

I guess I don't pay much attention to trends or hype...I just really like a nice pair of jeans without too many frills and this original 2012 collab between Blue Owl x Momotaro is a winner in my book. 

The texture and variation in indigo is especially nice. Same denim also used in Momotaro's Vintage and GTB labels.

Thank you. Indeed, they're close to semiretirement now. Gave them another wash last night and will probably ut wear them occasionally from now on. But as it is the lightest coloured pair I own it will be hard. Most clothes just look & feel better with that pair compared to a completely dark pair.

I totally agree Max. With my well worn pairs all my vintage t-shirts look great but not if I'm wearing a new dark pair. When wearing a new pair I switch over to my collection of new t-shirts.

quick update on my 634s in no particular order....

 

16-17 months of actual everyday wear, lost count on washes, some soaks.

 

this time in a better setup and lighting!

 

 

 

I don't usually quote with all the pics attached but God dang I love this pair of Iron Hearts by Blue Nemo!

Worn in so perfectly and the patching done proper so as to add only more character to the jeans.

Nice and clean with plenty of white popping! Perfecto!

The TCB competition thread (and Volvo's TCB tux in particular!) has had me wanting some of their denim for a while now.

 

50s jeans jacket arrived earlier this week and I'm well chuffed with it. Body & arms are a bit longer than I'm used to but I'm cool with that.

 

Proper. Effortless. Nice.

The fading and patina are perfect at this stage!

This is usually when a pair goes into semi-retirement for me to save the beautiful condition instead of beating them to hell until I can't wear them anymore.

I wonder beautiful_freak if at one time the 5507XX was made in both one-wash and rigid?

BIG's listing shows them to be "Rigid/Unwashed".

That's how I remember them when I purchased my pair at SELA back in 2010.
