I don't know the item so can't tell you if fake/real.
But yes 6WH is a real reference number. Usually the second letter i refers to the season/collection the piece is from. 'E' = Eté (Summer), or 'H' = Hiver (Winter). But some (very few) do have W. I think it's stands for winter and on some items sold in UK

Reasons why I think is fake:
- Girl owner (doesn't mean much, just odd)
- Claims her and boyfriend know Hedi Slimane (not revelent, but usually fakes make up lies like this)
- Jacket looks cheap and very light (pic 1 and 2) fyi the hanger is mines
- Lampo zipper I am not 100% sure on (pic 3)
- Missing tag with reference number, even though seller showed it in listing (not sure from this jacket or stolen pic), and claims it was "easily" ripped. I've owned several dior homme, that tags not easily ripped, it's inside a pocket! (pic 4)
- Stitching around pocket seems not straight (pic 5)
- Back of button snaps on sleeves says "COBRA-I-ORIGINAL" in a circle. Never seen this on dior homme (pic 6)
- Back of button instead of being swen onto jacet, it is swen into another button (pic 8)
Reasons why I think it may be real:
- "Dior" tag looks real (pic 4)
- "CD" on buttons looks real (pic 7)
- "Paris" tag looks real (pic 9)

I don't live 500 miles near any Balmain store, or I'd ask them.
And I paid $1,250 (guy had auction at $500 but ended it after I bought on paypal).
So, does anyone know? I can tell Dior Homme real/fake from pics, but that's because I've collected DH for years, I am new to Balmain.
The only thing the jacket has going for it is the lampo zippers, but after comparing the zippers to another Balmain I own that I know is real (bought on luisaviaroma), the lampo zippers on here look off (have 11 stamp on them, my real Balmain has a made in Italy stamp). Not to mention inside jacket is brown, not black. About 1/5th the weight of my other Balmain puffer jacket. And the usual concerns about loose stitching, zippers barely zip up (aka it's a cheap made), and all the sellers others items are "custom made" things, and how they didn't put return address on the package. Also, the Balmain patch on my real jacket is only stitched on sides, but this patch is stitched all the way around on all four sides. (I know Dior Homme real jackets have 4 stitches on each corner, fake ones are stitched all the way around.)
Real one from Luisaviaroma is blue jacket with blue zippers. Black/brown jackets with silver zippers are the ones buyer sold me.

Not too familiar with balmain, but the jacket does have lambo zippers (expensive zippers), but I noticed the tags are different (black size tag on mines versus white on other guys and the few other balmain I own have white tags). Also, the seller didn't put their address on the shipping box, very suspicious. Not to mention every other of his listings is "custom made".

Looking for a picture of a guy wearing Dior Homme 0038/s sunglasses, these are what they look like:
Picture is of a guy (i think he's famous), walking down a side walk with blue jeans and no shirt and no shoes (i think) and wearing these sunglasses. Picture is kind of old, probably 3-4 years old, but pretty famous use to see it all the time around.

jacket is fake.
if you send him a message saying you are interested and tell him if item is fake, you know a local Balmain store that can get authenticity documents for paypal claim... than he won't sell you the jacket. Wonder why? because he know's it's fake.
It's obvious what he is trying to do here, he is trying to find a dumb buyer that doesn't know Balmain, so he doesn't have to worry about a case opened
